NIFR: projects anyone???

So I have decided I can only work on my house so much and need more little projects that are not so labor intensive and high priced.
Soooo... I watched a video on how to make a beginners quilt. I have a sewing machine, I vaguely know how to thread it and run a stich, and I know how to cut fabric.
Looks like I'm making a baby quilt today. Here is how far I've gotten so far!

Anyone have a project they are working on to make the time pass?? Share a pic or discription... I need more ideas for other projects.

Etopic  D&C and hysterscopy Nov 5 2013
dx with pre genetic blood clotting dec 2013
FET #2 Jan 31st  2014 
Miscarried for a second time again at 5 weeks 5 days
Currently fostering to adopt an amazing little 1 year old boy..P.J!
FET#3  is Oct 29th 2014
BFN on fet #3
Last and FINAL FET coming JAN 28th 2015

    I love projects! I'm currently obsessed with Pinterest and have done a reasonable amount of projects from there (I'd PIP but I'm at work). You could make a fall/winter wreath or some can't-kill flowers. I found a really cool way to make peonies with coffee filters. I'm excited to play around with coloring the filters so they aren't all a boring white. I'm also really into making cards and paper crafting. You could always look for a pattern for cute stuffed animals (the really small kind, like owls or something). If you made enough and had no one to give them to, I'm sure you could donate them for the holidays to a local shelter/church/hospital.

    June 2013 - Carrier found! Could this really happen?!

    Looks great, Lacy! I can't wait to see how it turns out. 

    We decided to go ahead and paint the room that will someday be our nursery and finally bought the paint for it yesterday. I need something to keep me busy, and I'm intentionally not tying it to any particular baby. Either we will get pregnant and it will be for that baby, or we wont and it will be ready to start the adoption process. I put pictures of my concepts on my blog a while back. here's the post: Dreaming of a Nursery

    I've also had the supplies to make this tufted headboard for like...five months lol! I think I'll finally get around to doing it this weekend or next:

     DH: Severe MFI

     12/2/11 - IUI #1- BFN 
    8/1/12 - IVF #1 - Zero response from max stims (600iu intramuscularly)
    My ovaries are just for decoration

     12/6/12 - Adopted five embryos that had been frozen for over ten years!
     2/11/13 - DEmbryo FET #1 Thawed four, sadly two didn't survive. Transferred two beautiful blasts. 
     2/16/13 - First BFP of my life @ 6dp5dt! EDD 10/30/13
     3/27/13 - After beta and u/s hell, no heartbeat ever detected. D&C at 9w1d.

    6/5/13 - Adopted four new embryos that had been frozen for seven years!      
    9/12/13 - DEmbryo FET #2. Thawed and transferred two beautiful blasts
    9/17/13 - BFP @ 5dp6dt! EDD 05/31/14
     9/29/13 - m/c @ 5w1d. :(

    11/19/13 - DEmbryo FET #3. Thawed and transferred one blast from each batch. Wow!
     11/23/13 - BFP @ 4dp6dt! EDD 8/7/13
    Beta #1 @ 13dp6dt - 522  Beta #2 @ 16dp6dt - 1373 
    6w5d ultrasound showed one perfect baby with a beautiful heartbeat of 134bpm!

    Snowflake baby is a girl! 
    Our beautiful Snowflake girl arrived on July 22, 2014!

    Excellent ideas ladies!

    Sammer: I am a scrapbooker and have my entire office with tons of paper stuff. I don't know why I have not gotten into the wreath making but I should. God knows I have tons of paper supplies for that!
    Liz: love that headboard and can't wait to see how it comes out!
    Jalara: I know im quite nervous about the whole batting and backing thing so I called a local quilt shop and I can send it to someone to quilt the design I want into it and they can do the outside binding. Sounds like a plan to me! I've finished the top squares today and need to do a few boarders and then it's off to the quilt shop to be finished. Thank god for YouTube other wise this would of never happened!
    The next one in going to do with the same fabric because I have tons left over but I'm going to do long lines across. Should be pretty cute!

    I've wanted to change the decor above my bed for awhile now, but couldn't think of what to do. I like the look of star-bursts above headboards yet couldn't find one that went with my bedding. So I bought one on sale, spray painted it and added a mirror. I felt like it needed something else up there so I hung sconces next to it but I don't like the way they look so I'll take them down and just leave the star-burst by itself.

    Also, I love trying new Pinterest recipes. I merged 2 last week to create my own version of chicken and sour cream enchiladas and we liked it so much that I'm going to make it again this week. Today I'm going to bake pumpkin coffee cake with a brown sugar glaze. Mmmm!
