How's that working for you DH??

I had a long day with LO today... She fought naps, hard. So when he got home she had been up for about 30 mins, had a clean diaper and was dozing. It was about an hour before her regular bed time so he decided to try and stimulate her and keep her awake until her normal bed time. She is now currently fussing like crazy with him. Not very smart and I had a feeling it would backfire..... Now I must admit I am laughing a bit inside, especially since he made a comment today about her 45 minute nap being "better than nothing." Um, yes, but she's been crazy over tired recently. Why don't they listen to us when we make suggestions (I.e.: put her back down if she's tired.")??

    So true. DH will ask out loud, "What is going on with you?" to a fussy LO. I'll answer that he probably has a wet diaper and DH will let him fuss for fove more minutes before he changes LO.
    And then he's always amazed, "His diaper was wet!"

    Did he not realize we had daylight savings time and an hour early would of been right on time for your LO? My DH has been helping or at least trying a lot since I've been back at work and having a weekly freak out from it all being too much but when baby K is cranky in the evenings he always says oh you want mommy only mommy can make you better and passes him off to me and I'll go change his diaper or snuggle with him, whatever it is that I told DH he wanted and he would be able to do to make him not cranky too.. It's not just me a clean diaper does wonders no matter who does the changing!

    my DH to every single thing that I say about LO.... "She's fine."

    Ever occur to you, that she's not always fine. Dry her off before leaving the bathroom after bathtime, put some socks on her feet if I say she needs them, pick her up when she is fussing. Quit fucking telling me she is fine!

    @cristinbolt I HATE when my DH says that!! Drives me nuts! He does it with the dog a lot, picks her up when clearly she doesn't want to be held, and when I say something, his reply is "She's fine!" Yes honey, she's fine, that's why she's squirming to get down.
