So I'm 13w and I had a gush of bright red blood no cramps no clots. I am waiting to call ob after 9. Thought ok one gush things should be ok... but no everytime I stand up its like a faucet is turned on. I am absolutely freaking the f out.
My medical mind (im a rn) says sit tight talk to the dr maybe she can fit you in today bc if I'm mcing sadly there is nothing that can be done. But my the rest of me is screaming and I want to see my Squishy and for everything to be okay. I'm so very scared.

I saw one of the doctors in the practice. He examined me and said that the bleeding seemed to have stopped. Then he did a tv sono and we saw our Squishy wiggling away with a good strong heartbeat. As I stood up to get dressed I started gushing again. Doc came back in and said we may need to go to the hospital. He made a call to the hospital and when he came back and said it was placenta previa and it wasn't necessary to go to the hospital. I am to rest and if I am still bleeding wed night no work thurs and fri (that's when I'm scheduled). I have to follow up again next wed. Still very scared but happy our lo is okay.
Greene your previous post is what kept me sane after it happened the first time... but after it kept happening I went to mush. I do appreciate you sharing your experience ♡

I already had an appointment the next day or so for my NST screen and the drs office U/S tech found that I had a large subchorionic bleed and marginal previa. I stayed in bed for several days, with the bleeding slowly calming down. By 15 weeks or so, all bleeding had stopped and the u/s showed the placenta had grown upwards and was no longer marginal previa. The sub chorionic bleed was still slightly visible on the u/s but within a week or two it was completely gone.
I freaked out at the beginning too, I've never been so scared. SO glad you've got good news.
Please take it easy and rest rest rest!
Beach I may just do that.. going to speak to my head nurse to see if I can do light duty.. not sure what that would be in a busy ER, but worth a try. >-)
