Cradle crap is the build up of the skin the typically sluffs off, but with the babies it gets trapped in all the skin oils and is super crusty and yucky looking. Some swear by coconut oil, others say baby oil & brushing. It kind of just has to run its course.
I love the mustela foaming infant shampoo. It was the only thing to clear up DS1's cradle cap so I've started using it on DS2 & his scalp looks great. Highly recommend it
@pickle123 & @mrsshankley1012 - I have the mustella shampoo. How often should I wash her hair with cradle cap?
It's the foaming newborn shampoo, right? I can't attest to the regular mustela shampoo. I bathe him about every 2 - 3 days. I remember it clearing up pretty quickly with DS1. Good luck!
I made a post the other day about this, someone said Mustella shampoo worked well and another said coconut oil made her DS's scalp smell like rotting flesh. Seeing that I was already using Mustella all I did when shampooing was use a soft bristled tooth brush and really got in there... I got rid of a huge portion of it. Still have some left but it is more on the sides that I didn't scrub as much
