For those of you who are no longer doing a MOTN feeding how did you break your LO of it?
At my 4 month apt the pedi said she should no longer need to be fed then. Honestly her best feedings are the one before bed and the MOTN one. All the other day time ones I feel like I am wrestling her to eat.
I figure I will probably keep doing the feedings through 6 months, but after that I probably should try weaning. I'm sure at this point it is just a habit.
Re: MOTN feeding
If you hold it there for a bit and she falls back asleep she probably wasn't hungry.
This has only worked once with my dd so I usually just feed her. She hasn't been eating as well during the day so I'm totally ok with the MOTN feeding. I hope it stops at some point but my first priority is making sure she gets enough to eat.

Last week he STTN back to back two days and last night only woke up once. Whenever he wakes up I look at the video monitor to see what he is doing. If he is still laying down then I wait to see if he will fall back to sleep, but if he is standing up then I'll nurse him.
He always softens my breasts so I know it is more than wanting a comfort suckle. And I don't mind helping LO boost his weight gain.
