November 2013 Moms

Anyone not in a hurry?

My due date isn't until 11/14, and I'm ok with that.   DD is sick with a cold right now (her 4th or 5th since starting preschool.  yay germs!  sigh)  and I'm ok with waiting to meet DS until she is feeling a bit better and not coughing up a lung.   Plus I'm a bit freaked out about being a STM.

While I'm jealous, seeing all the pictures of the new babies being born, I know my time will come and I'm not in a hurry.   Anyone else?

Re: Anyone not in a hurry?

  • I'm due 11/29 and will be nice and patient until probably next week. We have closing/settlement on our house this Friday so any time after this weekend she'll have the green light.

  • due 11/25 - working until 11/20, so I'm not really in a hurry.  I think overall, I'm pretty patient.

Except yesterday she learned how to stick one foot into the side of my stomach where she can stretch it REALLY far (like I can feel her little foot sticking out).  That hurts a lot!  So I'm kinda looking forward to her not doing that any more!
  • I'm not in a hurry just because it's still so surreal to me (FTM).  Last night it hit me that we can't keep putting things off until next week, because next week we might have a baby (I'm 37 weeks tomorrow).

  • Amen! I'm right there with you. As excited as I am to meet her, I know I'm on her clock and that I won't be pregnant forever. So for now, I'm enjoying and spoiling DH and sleeping in until 10AM as much as I possibly can.
  • Today is my due date, but I'm not in a hurry! I'm kind f dreading labor, and even though I can't wait to meet LO, I know she is much easier to take care of inside!

  • I have to say I am not in a huge hurry. I am enjoying the few weeks I have left as a family of three.
  • Not in a hurry at all. Still too much to do and im getting sick So I want that to pass first. Also inside baby is so much easier than outside baby. Enjoying ds1 as much as I can now before I become a zombie
  • Im torn.  I am misrable right now at this stage and want to meet my little guy and want him out.  But then I think, oh shit, im going to have to give birth to him and then keep him alive............im freaking out about all that, so i want him to stay in as long as possible....damn anxiety disorder!

  • No hurry here either. I really wanted LO to wait until at least this last weekend - I had some stuff I wanted to do (mani/pedi and my niece's birthday) so now I'm good for him to come whenever. Due 11/11 next Monday. I'll be fine if he stays put, I'm uncomfortable as all get out, but I'm not in any rush if he's not ready. :-)

  • Bittersweet...I want to squish her so bad but each bout of baby hiccups makes me realize I will never feel this after this pregnancy:( I'm a hot friggin mess! I'm not sure when I'll burst into tears or when I could kill someone Chuck Norris style. I need a timeout from humanity!
  • I'm right there with you.  11/27 EDD, but would happily have her stay put until a few days past my due date.  I am somewhat uncomfortable, but I seem to have an easier time at the end of pregnancy than a lot of women.  In contrast, my son (whom I of course love and adore) just about did me in during those first few weeks/months, so I've decided it's a lot easier having the baby in than out!

  • Not DD can keep baking as long as possible! Due date is 11/25.

DS turns 2 this coming Sat. (He was also due 11/25). He is currently cutting 3 teeth and has a sprained ankle. The terrible twos have disguised themselves as "injuries" and it's exhausting. Lol
  • I think when you already have one child you are in less of a rush- you know what is coming and that it will eventually happen!!  Due 11/18 but they may induce me as early as tomorrow due to bp.
  • I'm due 11/30 and my father is still finishing building the nursery. He needs to add molding and doors and then I can finally begin to set LO's room up. I don't mind him staying in long enough to get all of that done! I just have a feeling that because I need him to wait he might show up early.
  • Due date is 11/12, and I'm not in a hurry for he or she to come before then. I of course can't wait to meet him/her, but I'd be glad to have another week or so to be selfish and have limited responsibility. I'm hoping not to go too far past my due date though.
  • I'm also in no hurry, lol, no other kid, no big plans, but I know things are gonna change big time so I'm enjoying my downtime now and just trying to maintain a clean home, a stocked freezer, and lots of rest!!
  • 39 weeks tomorrow, and not feeling rushed yet, but DH graduates his police academy the 21st, 9 days after
My due date. So if our little princess isn't here by the 18th I'm probably going to lie upside down with my legs crossed - I do not want to miss that ceremony and I do not want DH to miss her delivery!!!
  • I wasn't in a hurry with DD but I am so over this pregnancy. I've had prodromal labor since 36 weeks and I am exhausted and sore. It probably doesn't help that I'm chasing after a 2 years old too. I'm so ready for LO to be on the outside and would be fine with him showing up anytime now. I think it also doesn't help that DD's due date was the 6th and this one isn't due until the 18.

  • I think I've got about 2 weeks of patience yet - there are still some things I need to get done and I would like to offically be full term before labor. However, I have a sneaky feeling the last week or so I'm going to be begging her to make an early appearance!

  • Same here. Although I told my DH today that all the stuff that went wrong today almost guarantees ill go into labor tonight!

  • I am reaaally hoping I'll keep her in there until after Friday. My husband is stationed elsewhere and wont be joining us until then. The last thing I want is to welcome our 3rd and last child without him. But, as soon as he gets here I am ready to go!

  • I'm having a RCS on 11/18, and I'm really hoping he waits until then. I have everything all set up for DS1 that week. Obviously plans can change, and we'd make them work, but I'm hoping he stays put!!

  • I wish I could still be patient. My EDD was 11/1 and I am completely done with being pregnant. I'm only 1cm and LO is as high up in my ribs as she can get. Up until about 38 weeks I was a happy pregnancy person... I wish that were still the case :(

  • I am in so much pain that I really can't wait to not be pregnant anymore.  Ever.  So no, I am in a big hurry.  That, and I want to stop working already.
  • I'm feeling very much the same. He'll get here when he gets here. My husband though? He's over this pregnancy.

I could have written the second half of this.  the patience thing, not so much.  I'm contracting a lot, and she's obviously having an issue getting comfortable b/c the stretching and kicking are almost constant.  I'm hoping and praying that a spot opens up on the 20th for our csection.  otherwise i'm scheduled for 2 days past the 11-25 due date.

  • I am the SAME way. I wanted her out and now that it's November I want her to stay. I'm very nervous about being a mom. Just all very new! My husband just came back from deployment, so were trying to readjust to that as well!
  • I'm surprising myself.

I get so anxious about something awful happening in utero at the end and was crying at my OB's office yesterday, but when he offered me an induction date of tomorrow I said "no".  I'll be 39w1d tomorrow and that's the latest any of my kids have ever arrived and I've had 3 inductions, but for some reason I just couldn't say "yes" to the induction for tomorrow.  I did have him put me on the schedule for my due date though 11/14.
