Name Question-Am I being stupid?

Hi ladies,

I know I don't "know" any of you since I haven't been on these boards at all this time around...but today I had a thought and need some unbiased opinions...We are due to have baby girl #2 Jan 19 and are going to name her Quinn.  Our last name starts with a B.  So...I just realized if there is ever another Quinn in her class at school she would be Quinn B.  I know kids can be cruel (and quite impressively creative!) do you think she will get called "Queen B" or "diva' or anything like that?  My DH thinks I am being ridiculous and it could be just hormones at this point but I figure I am not going to let it go until I exhaust all opinions.  TIA!!

    not likely but even if someone calls her that it's not a bad thing to be the queen b..

    I don't think it's a big deal. I thought Ramona Quimby before queen b. I wouldn't translate Quinn to Queen in my head.

    I feel like unless there's another Quinn in her class there won't be a reason to say, "Quinn B" or for her teacher to put Quinn B on anything. I only use first names in my classroom unless I have a double name then I use the first letter of their last name.

    I love the name Quinn (for a girl) but my husband has a friend with a bot named Quinn so it's out for us.

    I have a female cousin named Quinn, I love it! We all call her Quinny, just FYI.
    And I don't think that's a bad enough nickname to warrant choosing a different name!

    I think that's a really cute name! Kids will always come up with something an queen b is far from the worst she could get with other names! I got lily pad when I was really young an it drove me nuts but it really wasn't bad at all lol.

    I think Quinn is a beautiful, unique name that she could possibly hate growing up (children with unique names or the only one in their class with that name tend to do that lol) but she will learn very soon after that her name is as unique and she is and very special. I love it!!

    @pejay: If you love the name Quinn I would go with it. Will people make fun of it... maybe, but that can be true of just about every name on the planet and I really think the Queen B thing is a stretch and not the worst thing in the world.

    As for your ticker, there is a link in the J14 FAQ thread on how to change your signature.

    I like the name.  Stick with Quinn.  It is really not that common of a name, so the probability of having another Quinn is prob not all that high :)

    Also Queen B is a nn for Beyonce, so I'd be cool with that as a kid.
