weekend round ups

well seeing as how I didn't get dressed today I think today was a success :) The rest of the weekend was pleasant and kinda relaxing.  Even got some action this afternoon

Baby is eating good hearty meals and sleeping good during the day.. night time is starting to be a little less of a fight...its 8:45 and she is drinking a bottle and getting sleepy while we watch john Travolta in killing season...

I'm hoping this next week is a turning point with the job search, going to go to a temp agency and get on their radar with hopes for a full time job by the 1st of the year if not sooner.  Also going to apply for a couple open positions with the city

Baby has another play study with the Berkley language lab this week, this will be her 3rd session.

I think our thanksgiving plans are settling up to be a family dinner at his aunt and uncles.. i'm kinda bleh about the whole thing....

Whats your weekend and other though ramblings that you wanna share?

Re: weekend round ups

  • Friday night, DD fell down three stairs.  I couldn't believe it.  We've been so careful about watching her.  My husband left the basement door open so the dogs could get some food.  I took my eye off of her for three seconds and that's when she fell.  I wanted to kill DH for leaving the door open, but I know that I should've been watching her more.  She's fine.  A little bump, but that's it.

My goal for Saturday was to ambitiously shop for DD's party.  DD refused to take a morning nap which led to her being super cranky during our errands.  (DH was out of town)  The culmination was a full out melt down in Joann Fabrics.  She fell asleep in the car just before we got home.  I was hoping to get her home for her afternoon nap, but since that didn't happen, I just let her nap in the car for an hour.

Sunday, we pretty much stayed at home and played.

  • Sunday was DD's party and I was stressed the whole weekend.  I blame pinterest for it all!  We were just having a backyard BBQ lunch for close friends and family and I felt like I needed to do all this cutesy stuff.

DD had a great time and it won't matter in the end that I didn't have handmade decorations, or that the photo collage kept falling off the mantel, or the month banner wasn't prefect.

In the end, she shared the day with those who love her and that's all that matter.

  • Our weekend was spent at home. DH was at guard drill; that left just us girls. LO was practicing very hard on her walking skills. She is almost there. SD did some reading to work in her fluency skills. I finished LO's bday outfit. I also started her giant sock monkey. It will be about the size of her. DH got home last night. We ate supper and snuggled while watching some football.
