Huge TP to my job. (I apologize in advance that this is a long post). I work for a large hotel company's regional sales office. My dept handles events-- small meetings and room blocks. Over the past year, there was talk that our department might be eliminated. However, 1 month ago the General Manager of my office held a meeting for my dept and told us that our jobs were safe until at least January 2015.

I came into work today to a last minute calendar appointment for a meeting with the General Manager. Also, my Director who has been on maternity leave is randomly in the office today. (She isn't scheduled to be back until December). There is a rumor going around that as of July 2014, my department will be eliminated and this is what the meeting is about. I'm trying not to freak out, but am having a hard time. If this is true, I basically will go on maternity leave and won't have a job to go back to. The meeting isn't until 12 PM....I really hope the gossip is wrong....

My husband stayed around this morning with our 2 yo but never changed his overnight diaper! He did empty the dishwasher and put away his jeans that I washed. As he leaves he tells me that he started folding the socks that are in the dryer. I mentally give him a gold star. Then I check the laundry room. He matched ONE pair of HIS socks. TP high expectations. I hate matching socks!!!

TP to my DH who didn't take out the rubbish this morning as i asked and so I have just come home to a house that absolutely stinks of rubbish. I physically retched when I walked through the front door and I can't face going in the kitchen unless I am sick. Am waiting for him to get home!

Unfortunately, the gossip was correct. I don't know what I'm going to do..... I have some time to get this figured out at least, but it's a large amount of unexpected stress.... Man, I could use a glass of wine right now

There will be positions that will open up in my office. The challenging aspect for me is that I currently work remotely. I live over 80 miles from the office and there aren't many remote positions. (I also am not relocating). I am hoping a position will open up at on of the hotels that is about 20 mins from where I live, but there are no guarantees....

So many hugs to you right now. Hang in there, keep a positive attitude, and do not give up hope. As stressful as it may be, try not to let it get you down, as baby can feel it too. You will be noticed and you will have no problem finding a job to go to after baby arrives.

TP to having to hire people. I suck at it. I can judge people pretty well when I'm talking to them, but not in an interview. Stresses me out more than the person I'm interviewing!

And TP to my father. My parents are coming to visit this week and he keeps changing all the plans we set! Just come out and relax! There's no need to be in control of everything!

TP to this horribly painful sinus cold or flu or whatever it is. I'm so miserable. TP to the waiting game for my dads colon cancer surgery. He is in pain off and on and the surgery would help. Plus we would finally find out if it's spread. Instead we wait by the phone daily for them to schedule it. TP to our stupid outside dogs that won't stay in our yard. We have to get the electric fence and collars. I hate to do that to them but they won't stop killing our in-laws bunnies.

TP to work being so far away. My kiddos have their first performance tonight, so I'm stuck here from 3 until 6 with nothing to do except surf the bump because it's too long of a drive to go back home before the concert. So I'll be out of the house for about 15 hours today.

TP to DH's friend Harley, who is long overstaying his welcome. He was supposed to come visit Saturday morning through Monday morning to go with DH to a concert Sunday night. He scheduled his return trip for Tuesday night! My house looks and smells like a frat house and he's oblivious to the fact that we don't want him there anymore.

I'm tempted to bribe DH with finding out the sex of the baby if he'll kick Harley out now . . .

TP to my parents for sucking at life enough to keep feuding with me in the middle after 23 fucking years divorced. Fuck off and grow up, both of you. Ridiculous. PSA to feuding parents: get that shit worked out now, if you don't learn to play nice when the kids are kids, you will end up being an ass about important events for the rest of your kid's life, and honestly it doesn't matter how right you think you are or how wrong you think your ex is. Your adult kid going to get real tired of being embarrassed and expected to take your side.
