Another job interview tomorrow. This time in Manhattan... He'd be home more. Only 30% out of state travel as opposed to 90% but he'd only have 1 home office day. Would need to travel into Manhattan daily. But he'd be home every night when not on the road.

Hoping this is it! He needs this.... WE need this! I'm tired of being mommy AND daddy all week!

And.... Lets pray for a good suit day since at the last interview his pants basically split open. Lol!

@Chickie79 LOL! True and funny!

@Maven212 He interviewed in Atlanta last time, that's probably the confusion. We are actually in New York (on Long Island)

@Shella923 It wouldn't be too bad. We are a 30 min drive in without traffic. He will likely take the train. It works out to be about a 20 min train ride if he gets an express. Not sure of the additional time the subway or walk to office will take?

The adjustment will be that he will have an office to go to period. Right now he works from home with an occasional office day in NJ when he isn't on the road.

Honestly, I think he won't like the commute part, but it certainly is better than 100 nights in hotels (which he has already done so far this year...and it's not even December yet). And, if he complains about it, I might have to hurt him anyway. I can't listen to him unhappy about his job anymore!

He was VERY happy a few years back in his old position on the Operations side of his company. Despite my advice not to switch to sales side (just to chase the bigger, but not guaranteed, money) he did it anyway and has been MISERABLE since. So I think he knows if he gets this, there can be no complaining.

Best of luck @jg1011!! I'm on the "Joisey" side...to me, a short commute (30 min or under) makes a HUGE difference in life! We almost bought a house in the burbs which would have been a 40 min commute for me. Decided to rent 10 min away from work. THANK GOD!!!!
