We have our names - But need help...

Our boy name is Nathan Aaron (Aaron after my husband's recently deceased brother)

Girl name is Lilah Aaron....not sure if Aaron should be spelled correctly.  I asked before on here when it was just a thought and people said keep it as Aaron and not Erin (different name altogether).  My Mom suggested Aarin to make it more feminine or Aaryn but I am not sure.  My husband scoffed at Aaryn but said he could live with Aarin or just Aaron.

Thoughts now that we have a confirmed 1st name?

Our first child is Eva Joan.

    Since its the mn spot I don't think you need to overt think it too much. Most of the time when people ask about spelling of a mn they really just want the 1st initial.

    With that being said I can tolerate Aarin but if your using the name to honor someone I say go with the original spelling. I think Aaron will be just fine.

    I would only suggest changing the spelling if you had a unisex first name. Because your name is clearly female I would spell it Aaron.

    I think Aaron sounds great with both Noah and Lilah. I would keep the correct spelling as it has family significance.

    If it was me, I would go with the more feminine Erin. It would still hold the same family significance to me. I am sorry for your loss.

    I would keep Aaron. The first name is clearly female so no potential for confusion there, and since Erin and Aaron are completely different names in terms of history and etymology, there's not much of a connection there for me. If you were to change it I would only consider Aarin. Aaryn makes me think of the super racist girl on the last season of Big Brother. You're honouring a specific person though, so I think Lilah Aaron is fine.

    Keep it as Aaron. DD has a masculine MN that's actually a family surname, and we didn't even think to alter the spelling

    First off I love love love Lilah! As for Aaron I say either Aaron (exact brothers name) or female version Erin. Don't go some in between that's even worse. 

    To me both Aaron & Erin are the same name one boy one girl spelling. But I can understand how others think it's totally different, but really to me it's just totally different in spelling not pronouncing where it matters. Though as people have mentioned with a very feminine FN just keep it Aaron there wont be a gender confusion and you get to use family's real name which I always prefer.

    Since you are naming her after someone I would keep the spelling as-is. If you REALLY want to add a feminine touch then Erin is an option. I would not start messing with the spelling because in my opinion it takes away from the whole reason you are using the name to begin with.
    I would go with Aaron.

    I'm obviously in the minority, but I would use Erin for a girl. If you would prefer it to start with an A then I would stick to Aaron. I don't like Aaryn or Aarin at all.

    For a girl I would spell it Erin. I have a friend who spells her daughters name Aryn after her dad Aaron.

    Thanks for all of the responses :)

    We won't go with Erin because we feel as though we say them different and that Erin means something totally different and they are both their own names.  We also have a lot of close friends/family with the name Erin and we feel the person we are actually honouring would not actually be honoured.

    We were now throwing out adding my middle name as well....so it would be Lilah Aaron Ann...thoughts on a double middle name?  Our first has one middle name.
