Am I getting too much in my own head?

Hey ladies. Ever since last week when I had my first U/S showing that I measured 5w2d pregnant instead of the 7w1d pregnant I thought I was (I'll be 6w tomorrow according to this measurement) I have been anxious. They could only see the sac on the U/S and told me to come back in 2 weeks for another U/S. I was pretty bummed that we didn't see a heartbeat like we had hoped. I guess not having that reassurance has made me very anxious and I've even started feeling like I'm not pregnant. I don't know if all of this is just me getting too much into my own head or if my body is really trying to tell me something.

    Do you know when you ovulated? I always O a bit late and my pregnancies always get pushed back, including this one.

    I went in and all we seen was a sack and yolk sac. She said heartbeats and fetal poles usually develop in the 6th week. They don't like to do u/s before 8 weeks for this reason but I was having some pain and they wanted to be sure it was ectopic. I go back in two weeks for another ultrasound.

    I have no idea when I ovulated, I realize this very well is probably the reason that I am not as far along as thought I was. The only reason I went to my OB was because I thought I was farther along. When I go back for my next U/S I'll be about 7w3d.

    I think it's totally normal for your brain to backtrack and try and protect you a bit when you don't see what you expect. But if you don't know when you ovulated then it's totally reasonable that you could have been off. I am waiting for my second ultrasound too after not seeing a heartbeat, and the waiting is super painful. FX time passes quickly for you!

    Same thing happened to me! My first US all they saw was a yolk sac and no heartbeat. I should've been 6w2d at that one and was totally freaking out. Went back 5 days later and the heart was beating away at 155. =)

    I'm ready for our next ultrasound! Only 10 more days!
