6 month sleep regression?

I think the bump ate my first post but if this shows up twice- sorry!!

We are a week away from 6 months and hAve had horrible sleep issues the past 3 days. Waking up more often and not going down as easy after MOTN feedings. Anybody else?

Re: 6 month sleep regression?

  • Definitely here as well. I read somewhere that 6 months is another regression similar to the 4 month, lasting 2-6 weeks. We are having a rough time of it! I feel your pain

  • If this happens to me I'm going to be pissed. DD is not quite 5.5 months and we still aren't done with the 4 month regression @-)
  • Ditto to pp's. LO is 5.5 months and we are hopefully on the tail end of the 4 month regression. I am not sure if I can handle another two months of regression...

  • Yeah we got about 2 weeks of only one wake up a night and then this started. Not thrilled about it!!
  • Yup she is 6 months and 1 week old and her sleep is horrendous. She has never been an awesome sleeper and around 5 months it started to get worse and now here we are...

  • Ditto, ever since the 4 mo sleep regression we haven't slept good long constant stretches:/
  • My pedi told me that at or around 6 months is the worst for sleep. Actually she told me that it is "2 weeks of pure hell". I went through this a couple weeks ago and she said we may have hit it early and I'm hoping that was the case because it was no fun and I can't imagine doing it again. :-S

  • :(( don't forget there's also a 6 month growth spurt! Yipee  8-}
  • Yes!!! Omg ... My DD2 had always been such a good sleeper and never really had "regressions" but the past couple weeks have been horrible ... Her schedule is all messed up, naps are hit and miss , bed time has been a joke... This has been the worst phase yet. I hope it goes back I normal soon! [-O<

  • We never had a 4 month sleep regression but we definitely had one for the last week. He has been waking up every hour starting at 1am.  This started the same day that he got his helmet, however, it was 3 days before he actually started sleeping in the helmet so I can't blame it on that.

  • Yes:( My Lo was sttn for months and then both Fri and Sat night was up screaming around 3 the one night and took a couple hours to get him back to sleep and then Sat it was up at 1230 for a half hour and then cried like 3 more times but he luckily went back to sleep on his own.  Last night he managed to stay asleep. I hope it was just those couple of nights.
  • So what you're saying is, it's a good thing I never got used to S sleeping all night...trying to find a positive side to this!

  • Since R has never been a good sleeper I can't say I'm too worried. He's never STTN.
