Redness back of head/hairline

My LO has always had a good amount of hair on the back of her head, so I've not noticed this before.

She has red spotty patches in this area. Does anyone else have this or should I be concerned?

Sounds like eczema. Check with Pedi, but cortisone clears this up for us.

Someone just told me that it could be a Stork Bite. I Googled it and that's what comes up in images.

My LO has a little stork bite on the back of his head/upper neck. They typically don't outgrow it in that area. My husband was born with one, too, and it's pretty visible when he has his hair buzzed.

Is it just red skin or is it dry/flaky? If it's just red, it's a stork bite. My son has a crazy big one that we didn't think was that big until a week or so ago when all his hair started falling out

My DS has a red patch at the base of his neck also. Not red or flaky, I have also been told it is a 'stork bite'. I have been told they go away though my friends daughter still has hers and she is 13.

My DS has one too! Same spot...its actually shaped like a strawberry. My pedi said it was just a 'stork bite' like the other posters said....

My LO does, it is a stork bite birthmark. I think it looks like a constellation lol. It gets redder if she is warm or upset.

My DD has always been bald but has had a red mark since birth. The doctor said it was just a stork bite birthmark and that it would fade overtime.

DS has a stork bite too. He also has a facial birth mark that seems to be going away.

My lo has it too. I asked pedi about it. He said they call it a stork bite and it's basically a birthmark. He said kids either have it on back of neck by hairline or on face. He said if it's on face they usually outgrow it but on back of neck it's there for the long run.

We have a stork bite here too. Doctor isn't concerned at all. They are keeping more of an eye on the one on her back.

My LO has a stork bite, too. After all the responses to this thread, I'd be interested to know how many LO's don't have this since it seems like so many have one.
