Re: Sunday Bedrest Checkin

  • Morning, @Roses.

Slept okay last night.  I guess you could say I got my extra hour, but I've been staying in bed late anyways.  I actually got up earlier today because the house was unusually quiet and when I got the living room, I discovered DD & DH were gone.  Hmm.

    34w4d today.

Qotd:  I will be decorating for Christmas, but nothing extravagant.  My due date is December 11.  I'm thinking of setting up the weekend of Thanksgiving (if still pregnant).  I'll just play it by ear.

  • Morning ladies!  Extra hour was nice, but I too usually stay in bed late anyway.  Today is my son's birthday party, sad to be missing it, but can't wait for the pictures.  Not much new to report.  MFM U/S tomorrow, hoping for no change.  Going to ask her if she ever sees me going home for a little bit.  I'm starting to climb the walls!

QOTD: I usually like to start decorating right after Thanksgiving, especially this year since its so late!
  • I slept very well again! I hope this becomes a well established routine ; )

28 weeks today!!!!!! I reached my first milestone i wanted to reach. Now onto my next one of getting into the 30's.

I am not really sure. I normally do most of the decorating and I hope to still be pregnant and I wont set up anything if i am. I normally set stuff up 1-3 weeks before christmas depending whats going on. If I am still pregnant I will need to be getting prepared for baby because I have done nothing yet. Plus when everything needs to be put away I will have a newborn at home, so I feel it would just be too much to deal with. I would like to focus on baby and getting all my snuggles in since my maternity leave will be much shorter with being off now.

  • Good morning.  Slept ok last night.

36+3 today.  Started having some frequent contractions last night after going out to dinner for the first time in 2 months, every 5 min or so, but then they slowed to every 9-10 minutes and didn't speed back up, so I'm still here!  At the time I couldn't decide whether I wanted them to turn into labor or not!  I think for the first time it hit me that I could really be meeting this baby any day, and that it's not just a dream anymore!  Anyway, if there is no drama today, we'll see what the OB says tomorrow morning.

Not sure about Christmas.  I certainly won't decorate as much as usual, but hopefully I can put up enough that it still feels like Christmas here!  We'll just see what mindset I'm in at that point :-)

  • Good morning everyone! I actually slept pretty good even though I was up a couple times during the night. The past couple days I've been feeling a little better but today is by far my best day! Woke up with no morning sickness, ate what I normally eat for breakfast and still feeling hungry.

Will be 15 weeks tomorrow, have an ultrasound in the morning to check the place of the placenta and check on the bleed on my cervix. Hoping everything is good so I can get back to work and feel like a normal person again!

I def plan on decorating for Christmas, it's mine and my boyfriends first Christmas together so it's extra special for us :-)
  • Hello, Ladies...

6days post cerclage removal and still not sign of labor.. lol.

I slept well. I am so grateful for these new sleeping patterns. Everyone keeps telling me to get all my sleep now.

I was suppose to go see my SIL yesterday but she wasnt home so DH and I went home to watch movies. I prepared my LO's hospital bag. So now just waiting.

qotd: Its funny because i just told dh a few days ago we werent going to buy gifts for anyone this yr because funds are tight. I will still be on maternity leave. Maybe i will just put up a small tree for my LO and put up a few decorations to take pictures of her. I guess only time will tell...
  • Roses:  Awesome milestone.

Hjweber:  Where did DD and DH go?

Morgan: Happy bday to your DS... Hope you get the get out of jail card soon. I know bedrest is a little easier at home.

Sftbalbabe: Soon very soon LO will be making its arrival. Imagine we give birth the same day :0)
  • @Kneenah, they went to DH's grandmas house.  I didn't know until I found the note he left.

  • kneenah- sounds good to me!  :-)

Just got a pedicure- alternating pink and blue toenails since we don't know boy or girl!

  • @morgan: Happy Birthday to your son!  Good luck with your ultrasound tomorrow. :)
    @Roses: Yay for 28 weeks!!  That's a great milestone.
@CMK: Good luck tomorrow!  Hoping for good news.
@sftbalbabe and @kneenah: So happy for both of you being in the termie delivery zone!  Hopefully someday the rest of us will be the 'vets' posting and giving others hope.  :)

Last night I didn't sleep that well.  I was up late watching football with my hubby and then up early after our 18 mo old woke up.  Silly little thing must have forgotten about the time change. ;)

No major updates for today, just happy to be here still baking this baby boy!

We will be decorating for Christmas this year no matter what is to come-NICU or whatever is in the cards.  My husband and I are both like kids when it comes to Christmas.  It's even more exciting now that we have a little one running around.  It's our tradition to get our tree the day after Thanksgiving (if I am pregnant, dear lord please, then they will go without me this year and take pictures)...from that point on everything is slowly decorated.  We live in an old house built in the 1800's with 12 ft. high ceilings so we always get a big tree.  I LOVE that time of year! :)
