I just wanted to put this out here, because I have a son who was born with cleft lip and palate. He is thirteen and I am an excellent resource for expecting parents or parents who have a child with cleft lip and palate. I am on the bump for different reasons, as I am pregnant with twins, but I have a heart for helping others who are about to embark on this journey and I have been down this road. My son was born with bilateral cleft lip and palate. 2 out of 14 hundred children are born with cleft lip and palate per year, and it is a common and correctable birth defect, BUT, it is a journey throughout the growth of your child. I don't want to flood you with too much information, but you are welcome to ask anything and I will respond.
