Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

Tender stomach and gassy?

I had an ERPC on Thursday (I'm from uk and it's similar to a d&c but with suction rather than scraping - or at least I think that's the difference.)
Anyway my stomach is bloated and tender and going to the toilet is quite painful. Is this normal or just part of everything settling down? I didn't have any pain or discomfort at all with my last ERPC in June. X

Re: Tender stomach and gassy?

  • i had a natural miscarriage and had the same issues a few days after. bloating was so bad i looked more pregnant than when i was! bloating also got bad toward end of the day. i did a lot of google searches and it appears to be common. i suppose if it lasts several days and/or gets worse you shoukd be concerned. good luck to you! hope you improve soon!

  • Oh thank you Hun, I was getting a bit worried! It seems to have settled down over the course of today so hopefully it'll just calm down in its own. Urgh, another crappy reminder of what's happened. Sending hugs to u x
