I was just daydreaming about vacations, so I thought I would post a getting-to-know-you thread about them. I have a bunch of questions, so if you don't feel like answering them all, pick and choose 
(Oh and if you saw this on the July boards, I posted it there by mistake. But I was really looking forward to hearing from my fellow June moms, so I C&P to here too.)

Next vacation: Disney World with LO next year
Baby on vacation: Not yet, unless you count him being in my belly on the cruise
Vacationed the most: For a real vacation, Florida/Disney World. We used to spend most weekends at the shore when I was younger, but that wasn't really a vacation to me.
Honeymoon: Alaskan cruise
Best vacation: Either honeymoon or Europe
Dream vacation: Antarctic cruise or African Safari. I also really want to go to Ireland, Egypt, Australia, and China or Japan, but not as much as the first two I mentioned.

We are going to Ft. lauderdale at the end of Nov.

Jamaica to Sandals Grande Riviera!
What was the best vacation you ever had? Our honeymoon was amazing!! Can't wait to go back.. In 18 years :P
What is your dream vacation?
Italy and Fiji.. My DH promised to take me.. One day lol

Where do you think your next vacation will be? Next vacay we want to take the kids on a cruise. More then likely this spring or summer.
Has baby been on a vacation yet? yes- we went to Aspen Co. in early Oct. MH was gone, so we haven't gone on vacay as a "family" but still.
Where have you vacationed the most? Europe. We lived in Germany for 3 years. We were able to see allot of different countries while we were over there.
Did you go on a honeymoon, and if so, where? Yes, we call it our honeymoon since we never had one right after we were married. Our HM was 4 years late. We took a 12 day cruise while we were in Europe. my IL's flew out to watch the kids for us.
What was the best vacation you ever had? Every vacay is great! I would have to say traveling Europe though.
What is your dream vacation? (Or if you are like me, dream vacations in the plural!) Greece. We were supposed to go there while we were on the cruise, but we couldn't dock so we had to make our way to Turkey instead. I would also like to go to Bora Bora with just me and my hubs. A Disney Cruise with the kids would also be a dream.
Where was your last vacation? Germany - went to Munich and an Alpine village outside of Munich last Feb.
Where do you think your next vacation will be? Caribbean! Not sure what island yet, but for my 30th bday hubby and I are taking a baby-free vacation in March this year. Can't wait! (although I know I'll miss her!)
Has baby been on a vacation yet? Nope. Will be going home for Thanksgiving and Christmas - does that count?
Where have you vacationed the most? Panama City Beach. My family went almost every year growing up, and we still all go whenever we can. I was bummed to miss it this year since I was 8 mos pregnant!
Did you go on a honeymoon, and if so, where? Yes - Aruba!
What was the best vacation you ever had? Last August (2012) we went to Italy - Venice, Florence, and Rome. Used frequent traveler points and got to fly business class and stay at fancy hotels like the St Regis. It felt like a dream vacation! All of the wine, food, sights, nice hotels, etc was amazing.
What is your dream vacation? (Or if you are like me, dream vacations in the plural!). I really want to go to bora Bora and stay in one of the over water bungalows. I keep telling hubby that's our 10 year anniversary!
Where do you think your next vacation will be? I have no clue. I am starting nursing school in Feb so we won't be on one in a while

Next up- either a cruise bc our city is a port now or to Turkey to see family.
Baby has only gone to Wilson, NC to see family. Not a very exciting first vacation!
Honestly, we aren't repeat vacationers. I'd rather go somewhere new each trip than have a traditional spot, ykwim?

Otis, Mass and Boston- my grandparents have a lake house in Otis- very small town and relaxing.
Where do you think your next vacation will be?
We were talking maybe Outer Banks? Nothing set in stone yet.
Has baby been on a vacation yet? Not yet- but I can't wait.
Where have you vacationed the most? Otis- probably at least every other year since I was born.
Did you go on a honeymoon, and if so, where? Yup- Jamaica- loved it.
What was the best vacation you ever had? When I was a kid we drove from Cleveland, oh to Seattle. There were 5 kids and my parents in a van- most fun I've had on vacation.
What is your dream vacation? (Or if you are like me, dream vacations in the plural!) Australia, or Europe, or Fiji... Too many to choose.
Where was your last vacation? New Orleans.
Where do you think your next vacation will be? Back to New Jersey/NYC to introduce lo to my family!

It wAs a small trip since we were planning and paying for me to move to Sydney. We went to Vegas and LA.
What was the best vacation you ever had?
Paris. I could live sand die there. It's so beautiful. I also loved traveling the sapphire coast in Australia.

Thailand or figi!
Where was your last vacation? We went to Europe last summer--England, Jersey, France, Spain, and Portugal. Portugal was amaaaazzzinng.
Has baby been on a vacation yet? He came with us to our wedding in the Rockies. Does that count? It was a 7-hour car trip and he was 8 weeks old. He was a real trooper.
Did you go on a honeymoon, and if so, where? No. LO was just 8 weeks old, so it wasn't really feasible. Maybe for our first anniversary.
What is your dream vacation? I'm Canadian, but I'd love to see more of the USA. I rreeeaaallly want to go to New Orleans. I've also never been to New York or Las Vegas.
Where do you think your next vacation will be? We are going to LA for Thanksgiving to visit my DH's family. But, our next actual vacation will be in March. We are taking the kids to Disneyland

Did you go on a honeymoon, and if so, where? We went to an all-inclusive in Costa Rica and loved it. We were going to go back for our 5 year anniversary this year but then I got pregnant and our anniversary was only 2 weeks after LO was born
What was the best vacation you ever had? My honeymoon. Spending time with my husband, exploring a new country, the beach...whats not to love
What is your dream vacation? (Or if you are like me, dream vacations in the plural!) DH and I are going to Hawaii again end of next year which I am stoked for but we are also going to Europe in 2 years which is SO exciting
Next will be Las Vegas or la for Gordon ramsays food.

I really loved Jamaica. Amazing food, amazing stuff to do, nice weather. We were at a sandals in ocho rios.
Dream vacation is probably Alaska. All the nature!
I went back to Chicago to visit family for a week.

I'm engaged...and we haven't really discussed where we want to go.
What was the best vacation you ever had?
When I was 7 I went with my parents and my brother to Holland to visit my Aunt and then we went to Paris, France and it was so beautiful.
What is your dream vacation (s)?
Disney Cruise!
Where do you think your next vacation will be? We have a trip planned to Phoenix with DH's family around Easter next year.
Has baby been on a vacation yet? Yep. She has flown across the country twice to visit my family in Ontario and Quebec.
Where have you vacationed the most? Aside from annual trips to visit my family back east, Mexico is probably next up on the list.
Did you go on a honeymoon, and if so, where? We never did technically go on a honeymoon. But we are planning to go to Fiji, maybe next year? Once I feel more comfortable leaving LO for a week. And I will count that as our honeymoon
What was the best vacation you ever had? Europe. Specifically Paris. J'adore Paris.
What is your dream vacation? (Or if you are like me, dream vacations in the plural!) Fiji, the Maldives, Tuscany, Rome, Greece, oh I have so many more!
Next vacation: looking to house swap in France next summer. Also going to NYC for thanksgiving to see my sister, so only kind of counts!
Baby on vacation: He went camping with us in August- quite the challenge getting a tent set up with a toddler and newborn. Surprised we didn't get divorced after that! We also flew to Miami for a long weekend with the boys in September for a family party.
Vacationed the most: probably generally speaking camping. We've camped across country and many weekends for the last 13 years together.
Honeymoon: Alaskan cruise
Best vacation: Honeymoon or San Miguel de Allende Mexico. Hmmm or Hawaii. Oh snap I've also traveled all over Africa and did a safari and climbed Kilimanjaro which was pretty cool, but all of the adventures there where while I was living there so it wasn't really a vacation. I really love traveling so it's hard for me to pick a favorite place!
Dream vacation: Thailand and India. I would go back to South Africa with my husband in an instant too because it was so romantic. Oh and Australia is up there.
Next trip: Emerald Isle! My dad rented a big house for my parents, us, my brother and his gf, and one of our close friends. My uncle rented the house next to us with his grown kids/grand kids. There are 18 of us! I cannot wait! My cousin is due with her 3rd next month, it's weird to think MJ won't be the youngest!
Baby on vacation: nope! But we have an NY trip planned in June (I'm maid of honor in my bff's wedding), beach in July, and Chicago in August for my husband's cousin's wedding!
Vacationed the most: outer banks, I've been there 25 times in my 28 years of life!
Honeymoon: Punta Cana! It was our first trip together and it was wonderful!
Best vacation: I have so many wonders outerbanks memories with my family and grandparents but I also loved my honeymoon! It's hard to pick!
Dream vacation: Hawaii or Italy

We went to Myrtle Beach in July, but my ILs have a house there, so I don't consider that a vacation. Last big vacation we went on an Alaskan cruise.
Where do you think your next vacation will be?
Not sure. We probably won't go on a big vacation for another two summers.

Other than Myrtle Beach, no where regularly. We love going to new places!

Yes, on a cruise in the Western Caribbean.
What was the best vacation you ever had?
DH and I took a cross country road trip a year after we were married. Visited 25 states and saw so many amazing sites. In our ten years together (5 married), we have visited 43 states. We are planning on knocking out 6 more on another smaller road trip. Hawaii will be its own amazing vacation.

We want to go to Europe, but can't decided where we want to go to most. I really just want to see the world! But, right now I'm dreaming of somewhere tropical.
Where do you think your next vacation will be? Iowa, family visit for Thanksgiving. Not sure if that qualifies as a vacation though so I'll say I'd like to go to Bermuda next.
