Overnight Diaper Recommendations?

Hey Ladies,

I was wondering if anyone has any diapers for overnight use that they really love? My little guy is an awful sleeper (I won't even go into it), so he still takes bottles at night and he drinks so much that recently he has started peeing up a storm! He wakes up soaking wet. And we still co-sleep, so my bed is just plain gross haha.

We usually use Pampers Cruisers and we just tried Pampers Baby Dry for two nights, but it doesn't seem to be fixing the problem.

The real solution is probably to night wean this little tot, but I'm a push over, so I'm looking for any alternative suggestions.

Thanks!

Re: Overnight Diaper Recommendations?

  • DD is a mega-pee machine all night. We use Pampers Extra Protection, which are more absorbant than Baby Dry. I also use one size bigger than her normal size for night time.

Thank you for the recommendation! I will definitely check those out!

  • I agree with zoey going up a size helps a ton!!

And don't feel bad Lucas still nurses to sleep and Nathan took a bottle to sleep it was water but still a bottle until 2.5 years old!

  • We use cloth...I've had success with a S'bish fitted and a cover.  Lots of moms swear by fitteds diapers and wool.  I've seen the recommendation to try a lanolized wool cover over a disposable if you're not wanting to jump into cloth.

  • Also, fleece PJs might help keep the sheets dry.

  • We use Seventh Generation overnights and they are really absorbent. Unfortunately, I have only found them at Whole Foods which isn't overly close to my house so I stock up when I'm in the area.

  • We use Kirkland diapers and go up a size. No leaks for us and we still nurse at night.
  • I've used Huggies overnights for both kids and I think I can count on one hand the leaks we've had. Now that we're trying to PT DS I've put him in the BG cloth that we have (so he can feel the wet but still not make a mess) and they work too.
