Ultrasound/No Pulse..Help!

We are 6w3d today and had our 2nd Ultrasound yesterday Afternoon. They were able to get a great picture but unable to find a pulse/heartbeat. My heart dropped to my stomach and just wanted to breakdown right there on the table. After everything now this?!?
The nurse said the baby is still really small and it could just be too early. They want me to come back Friday for another test and she said if we dont get a pulse at that time then it will be the time to worry.

My DH tells me not to worry yet I lay awake at 4am making myself sick from worry. Meanwhile my family is ready to celebrate the first grand baby. They say I am being a party pooper but Im just so dang worried.

Has anyone else not gotten a pulse on their first ultra sound?
I would love any advice/insight.

    Don't panic! 6w3d is still really early. I didn't have my first ultrasound until 7 weeks and we were able to see flickers on the screen which indicates the heart was beating, but we were unable to actually measure the heart rate. My next ultrasound at 8 weeks was the first time we were able to get an actual measurement. Some people have luck with getting heart rates earlier, maybe it has something to do with the accuracy of the ultrasound machine? I'm not really sure. Regardless, you are still really early. Try to relax and good luck at your next appointment!

    4th cycles letrozole/Ovidrel + IUI = BFN

    I think it's too early.
    And tell your family that you have every right to be nervous!

    Don't panic just yet sweets! That could be too early to see it properly! My RE and nurses cautioned me that they prefer people to come in after seven weeks, since by that time you'll be able to hear/see the heartbeats. I'm sure everything is fine, but boy, that is really nerve wracking! Hang in there, I bet next appt you will be relieved to see a happy little heart beat pounding away. (((Hugs)))

    I saw ours at our first US but it was at 6w5d. I think you are still doing great!
    | Married since 2008 | DH and I: Both 30 | Me: Endometriosis and Carrier of an X-Linked Dominant Genetic Disorder | DH: Low Morph | Planning IVF with PGD and PGS in 2013 | Freeze-All IVF #1: March 2013 ER 3/26. 29R, 12M, 11F. 4 5AA frozen blasts. Freeze-All IVF#2: May 2013 ER 5/15. 31R, 21M, 20F. 6 5AA frozen blasts. Our PGD probe was completed in late June (total of 20 weeks to develop). PGD and PGS Results came on 6/19: 3 healthy embryos (normal chromosomes and unaffected by my family's genetic disorder). FET #1: July 2013 Natural Cycle - Cancelled due to insufficient lining (only got to 7.5mm). FET #1.2: August 2013 - Medicated Cycle with Lupron & Estrogen Patches to build up lining. Single embryo transfer was 8/23. Beta #1: 240! Beta #2: 578! U/S on 9/19 at 6w4d: We saw the heart beating at 131bpm. Second U/S on 10/4 at 8w5d: We saw the heart beating at 178bpm. EDD 5/11/2014

    How big did the sac measure? My Dr doesnt due ultrasound until 7 weeks because the heart starts beating sometime week 6. 

    FX next time you see a great heart beat!

    I definitely wouldn't panic.  A few of the REs in my office have said that a lot of the time you won't get a HB until 7 weeks or so...some are lucky and are able to hear it earlier, but it's not uncommon to have to wait a little longer.  I'm sure it's all fine, especially if everything else still looks good!

    With DS, we didn't hear/see a heartbeat the first ultrasound, which I think was at 5w5d. It was nice and strong at the next appt. And he's now 8 years old. :)

    Me: 42. DH: 46.

    1st Pregnancy: MC, 11/19/00.

    2nd Pregnancy: DS born 04/10/06.

    3rd Pregnancy: CP, 03/11.

    4th Pregnancy: MMC, D&C 11/30/11, Genetic testing revealed Trisomy 4.

    5th Pregnancy: Ectopic, 2 doses of Methotrexate unsuccessful, surgery 4/10/12, right tube removed.

    Tried Letrozole January 2013-July 2013 (including 2 IUIs), all BFN.  After 2 1/2 years of trying for child #2, decided to "give up" after July cycle, based on AMA.

    August 16, 2013:  BFP our first month of "not trying!"  Still in shock.  Beta #1 (14dpo): 183.  Beta #2 (17dpo):  611.  Ultrasound 8/30/13: baby measured 6 weeks, 1 day, heart rate of 118 bpm! 
    Ultrasound 9/13/13:  8 weeks, heart rate of 176!
    Baby is due 4/26/14

    It's late and I'm tired.... Correction to that was eight years ago and he's now 7 years old! Hang in there and I hope you get great news at your next appt!

    I've been there - try to breathe - I know it's hard.  I think you may be just too early... This journey is truly not for the faint of heart.  Sending the best vibes your way.

    DH - 41
    IUI#1 with Clomid - BFN
    IVF #1 -3d transfer of 3 embryos.  BFP.  Unviable HB at 6 weeks.  D&C at 8.5 weeks.
    IVF #2 -5d transfer of 2 blasts. BFP. Low Beta HCG - did 5 beta tests over 10 days - RE concerned ectopic.  1st U/S HB 114! 2nd U/S HB 150! Graduated from RE 7 weeks 5 days (11/5).  First OB appt 8 weeks 4 days (11/11) - HB 170 and measuring exactly on schedule.  Phew. 
    EDD 6/19/14.  Keeping every finger and toe crossed tigh    t.
