Tomorrow is my LO's snip snip appointment. ..and I don't think I'm going through with it.
For the mommas with uncircumcised boys...tell me about the steps you take to keep everything clean properly.
We have always thought we would circ so I never read anything about it...

    Yep agree with the others. We don't do anything special and you shouldn't, we just wipe it.

    You treat it like a finger, you just wipe it down. If you try pulling the foreskin back it's like trying to pull up your finger nail. So you just leave it alone.

    We had already decided against circumcision, but I happened to be in the nursery while LO was having his hearing test and I saw the contraption they use to strap the baby boys down for the procedure - my heart just sank.  So glad we didn't do it!
    TTC #1 12/2009
    BFP #1 1/2010, M/C 6 weeks
    BFP #2 6/2010, DD lost to     congenital heart disease, we are heartbroken.

    TTC #2 4/2011, diagnosed MTHFR, FVL
    Four natural cycles BFN; Clomid IUI BFN; Follistim IUI BFN;
    1/2012 IVF #1 BFN
    4/2012 FET BFP #3
    5/2012 7w1d u/s: anembryonic demise; M/C @ 8w.
    6/2012 found Stage II/III endo on laparoscopy, removed w/ laser.
    8/2012 IVF #2 epic fail: no viable embryos.

    Vacation, break, second opinions, on to new RE.
    1/2013 Surprise chemical pregnancy BFP #4 (break cycle), IVF #3 postponed.
    2/2013 TI w/ hormonal support, prednisone, aspirin, Lovenox, acupuncture gave us a miracle BFP #5!
    Heartbeat on U/S at 6w1d!     Baby,please stay!!
    Our miracle baby boy arrived 10/2013!  We are so in love!!

    10/2014 Surprise BFP #6
    Our second daughter arrived in May 2015!  We are so grateful!

    Good for you lady! Like everyone else said, no special care required. My DH wanted to do the circ but ultimately left it up to me.


    Married my love 8-25-12 TTC #1 September 2012. BFP 2-2-13. DS born 10-16-13.
    TTC #2 in December 2014. BFP 12-31-14. Expecting a September baby!

    No circ here - no special instructions :-)
    We were 50/50 but ultimately decided against it since DH is not.

    It makes me sad to hear that LO's are strapped down :-/ I guess I never thought about that!

    Ditto everyone else. You just wipe it like you would everything else during a diaper change. No worrying about adhesions or healing or ointment or unnecessarily causing trauma by loping off a part of your sons body.,,
    My 2 girls, both born on a Friday the 13th, are exactly 2 years, 2 months, 2 hours and 2 minutes apart! And Baby Boy joined us October 11, 2013! image

    My LO is still intact! DH and I both feel great about our change of mind.
    And LO has gained an entire pound from his birth weight and a whole inch!
    I'm so happy we were able to enjoy his 2 week appointment stress free!
