Hey ladies! Things have been pretty crazy and on-going, but are finally settling down.
First: Family Therapy. Ex only showed for 2 of the 4 sessions. He told me we didn't need to go talk to her anymore and were just fine without her......... I don't need to tell you all what I thought about that. I went to all 4 sessions. She (the therapist) was AMAZING. We were able to work out Pearson's schedule including the holidays. She really was able to knock some sense into him on what is "fair" for Pearson. I went to the last 2 sessions by myself and it was such an eye opener. I was able to talk about the divorce without someone looking at me who knows what has happened. She was a breath of fresh air and was able to tell me unbiased responses to my fears/thoughts/concerns. In the end she told me what a wonderful mother she knows I am to P. She actually made me cry when she was saying everything she saw in me. It was so nice to hear. She also told me I am dealing with a very angry person (Ex) and until he deals with the entire divorce he will stay angry. We worked on how I should go forward if he should ever get angry.
The big divorce: We went to our second mediation early this week. We got settled!!!! I cannot tell you the weight that has been lifted from my shoulders. Our house sold October 1st. We were able to figure out how to fairly divide the money from the sale. It was just a little under what I owe my parents for the lawyer's bills. Thankfully! P is primarily with me. He goes to Ex's every other weekend and on his day off. I've also met up with him if he has half days so they can see each other. I will support him being in P's life as much as he wants to...so I'm hoping this will give him that kick he needs to step it up. We agreed that whatever anyone has in their possession is theirs. We didn't fight over personal items for the most part. We signed all of the paperwork and now just waiting for the final judgement from the judge to be signed! YAY!!!
Little man P: He's doing amazing .He's such a trooper. One of the happiest kids I know. He goes really well to his dad's and then back to me. I'm hoping since he is young this will be to his benefit and will be the only way he remembers (and not the fighting)/
As for me...I'm so happy. Things are finally where they should be. I have so much support from my family and my J12 family. My parents are loving seeing P every day. We are all getting spoiled. I have re-evaluated my job/life situation. I am going to go back to school while working part time. I enrolled and start in January! I have orientation on the 15th and can wait to look over what transferred and how long it will take to get my degree (I went for 2 years, but never graduated).
Thank you again for all of your support. Only my parents and immediate family know what I tell you ladies. I am so thankful to be able to come here and just let it all out.
Sorry for the novel! Just so much has happened!
