Is Owen too popular?

We love the name Owen but I worry its too popular. Thoughts? Any boy name suggestions similar in style?

    It's gaining popularity but I don't know any. Ian, Ewan, Evan, are some similar ones I can think of.

    Too popular for me, yes. I feel like I hear it all the time. I also just don't like it. But if you love it you have to decide whether or not popularity is a deal-breaker. For some it is and others it isn't. Go with what you love!

    We had chosen Owen for DS#2, but then I was meeting them everywhere I turned around.  There seem to be a ton of Owens in my area, but it could be a regional thing.  We ended up going with Pierce.  DS#1 is Reed.  I think they are similar type names, but are a lot less common.  I also know someone that just named a baby Owen and their other son is Emery.

    I have the same issue with the name.  Other names on our boy list: Everett, Hayden, August, Seth, Caleb, Hugo, Abram, Ephraim.

    It's a little popular but not overly.

    Ewan is on our list so I really like that suggestion.

    It's too popular for my taste.

    I honestly can't even remember how many Owens I "know" because the name is indistinguishable for me from Liam, Evan, and Ethan (which are also all the rage on my FB newsfeed).

    I can't think of a single Owen I've met under the age of 20 or so. But I hear it's popular in general. It's definitely not an Emma type name IMO though.
