I bet my cervix is more dilated than yours!

Another pregnant woman at the OB's office actually said this to me today!

I had to go to the OB for a surprise visit - my BP was elevated and had some swelling in my legs and less movement from LO. I saw the doctor and then was in the waiting room while waiting for the ultrasound tech to call me back. The lady next to me asked me when I'm due and got all excited that she and I are due 1 day apart. Then she says "I bet my cervix is more dilated than yours! I'm at 4 cm."

I very rudely said "Congratulations" and got up and walked away.

Seriously lady? This isn't a pissing contest - and BTW my "fingertip" dilated cervix is pissing me off. I have about 8 hours worth on contractions every night that never progress and stop by morning.

Edit - why won't it capitalize the I in the title! Grrr!
