She is Here, and Has a Name!

Lyra Joy decided to make her grand entrance on October 29 at 8:30PM.   All day I thought I was in false labor, because my contractions were never consistent. I had a 4pm doctors appointment that same day, so I was not too concerned.  Well around 2pm I *thought* my water had broken.   My DH called, and of course we were sent to L&D just as a precaution.  When we got there they checked me out, and to my surprise I was already 8-9 cm dilated!  I had NO IDEA!

From there on everything was a blur.  My mom was able to make it to the hospital in time to be at the delivery. And, I was able to get an epidural just in time.  I pushed for 35min, and BAM!!! Baby!  It was amazing.  And, a wonderful experience.
