We went through DS's bag this morning and saw that someone gave him a 10% off coupon to a local sushi restaurant. Last year the funniest thing he received was a can of root beer.

A toothbrush, but I cheered when the little girl was giving them out saying we need to brush our teeth at the trunk or treat we went to last night.

DS did receive a toothbrush too but he and his friends were actually excited about them! I think they all brushed with their new toothbrushes last night.

My town's chamber of commerce sponsored a trick or treat event with local businesses. The Whole Foods gave out individually-wrapped cheese and gummy vitamins.

Ds1 got a tooth brush, and toothpaste from one of the kids in his class. He insisted he use his new toothbrush last night!

We didn't get this, but a friend of ours posted on FB that one of her kids received one of those little bags of complimentary airline peanuts.

Kids didn't get anything weird, but there was one house that was handing out little plastic cups of wine for the grown-ups. That was my favorite house
