how long to wait...

G has been sick since Monday with a fever, white spots on her throat, not eating, hardly drinking, and whining at epic proportions. We took her to the pedi Wednesday and was told she has a virus and we have to wait it out. Well hells bells she is totally miserable and if not on the Tylenol/Advil combo her fever shoots up to 103.5. Would you call the doctor back or give a day or so more?

I'd call back and ask to come in again. I had strepp in June and I've never been in so much pain... I hope she doesn't have it!

I would call...when DD had a fever, I called to ask questions and they said that if it last for more than 2 days I should take her into see the doc.

I hope your LO gets better soon.

Thanks guys! They did do a strep test and it was negative.

I would call too. That seems like a high fever 48 hours after the initial doctor visit. Better to call the regular doctor today than end up at the ER or after hours clinic over the weekend.

I would definitely take her in. you don't want to go into the weekend with a sick kid without seeing a doctor. Plus the white spots in her throat would worry me. Could be strep.
