Lost the Plug!

My mucus plug dropped off today. I didn't really know what it was so I google imaged it and it was in fact the mucus plug.

I called my doctor's office to let them know but they told me to just monitor my contractions and if any bleeding happens.

I'm not so anxious anymore because my OB scheduled an elective C section for me since my baby measured 9.5 lbs at 38 weeks and I have a petite frame at 5 feet 125 lbs before pregnancy.

Now it's just a waiting game. I'm waiting for the date of the C section or maybe labor will start soon because of the mucus plug dropping.

Wishing all the moms out there happy and healthy pregnancies!

I do have to agree with @brittannie19. I didn't have the courage to do it myself and was caught unaware by @smilz's post. I'm still horrified and I can't unsee it!

  • I guess my question would be here... Among various others.... When a plug "drops off" what does this entail. I don't remember reading/learning of this. Is it externally? Or like baby's belly button orrrrr.... Just curious.

  • I was being a complete smart ass. I know what a MP does. Never ever heard of it being described as "dropping off" is what I was getting at.

If it makes you feel any better, I got the sarcasm.
