For goodness sake, DH...

STOP SNORING!!! I now remember one of the reasons why I hate sharing a bed with you. If I am not getting any action, I shouldn't have to be tortured like this. I'm tired, I want to sleep, and I have been listening to him for over an hour.

Oh good, while I was writing this the cat came in and started knocking stuff over. This means that while I got 3 kids to sleep, DH didn't feed the cat. So I woke him. Heck if I'm getting out of bed to do that - the break in snoring might give me a brief window to fall asleep. I hope.

Night Night J13. May your rooms be snore free and sleeps be long.

eta: remove word because tired bumping = more errors.

Get some sleep! And your cats are probably messing with you. Haha.

TBH I don't know how any of you ladies get sleep with your SOs. DH works nights and by the time he crawls in bed I'm waking up. I cannot sleep when he gets to bed earlier- I need the whole bed to myself. Otherwise I get pissed, snoring or not. I don't know what exactly it is. Need.my.space. We are gonna end up being one if those old couples with separate bedrooms, lol.

totally! I always say those old shows that would have separate beds for husband and wife knew what they were doing. Excpet I want at least a full size for just me, not a twin. And I have told dh I want an extra room in the next place - and I fully intend on sleeping in it. Lol!

  • I told hubs he has to get those breathe right strips or have the sleep study done. His is really bad.

  • My brother used to snore so loudly I could hear him downstairs when I slept over their house. Then he did the sleep study and now he wears a CPAP to bed. Apparently it really helps. I've told DH before that if he had snored I wouldn't have married him! Haha

  • Sorry dude. Good luck. Glad you made him feed the cat. ;)
  • Yikes I'm sorry! My dad used to snore so loudly I could hear him in my upstairs bedroom while their room was downstairs. My parents have slept in separate beds for like 15 years now haha. Oh and he would shout cuss words and phone numbers in his sleep (he had a lot memorized for his work, phone numbers that it)

  • DH is a snore-er (?) too. It's awful when I'm sitting here dead tired feeding G and I have to listen to him.
@Yaybaby01 That's too funny your Dad yells out numbers! My step-mom snores really loud. We always think it's safe to talk around her but she somehow hears everything while snoring her head off.

  • Luckily, neither of us snore... We share a queen bed in a 10' x 10' "master" bedroom (1950's house).  I don't mnd sharing, although I do like it when H is away for business.... :)

  • Oy, hit post too soon....

My parents both snore, and they're both quite round people. They've been sharing a DOUBLE bed since 1972.  That's 41 years!  A double!  Mike and I are sad that our house is so small we can't get a king size into any of the rooms.....

Although I think when the kids move out, I'm going to get myself my own room.... :)

  • SO and I have slept in separate beds for about a year now. His snoring is outrageous, and according to him, I hog the bed. We need to buy a king mattress before I'll sleep with him again. And I'll need to get earplugs.
  • @alamie & @thegoodpotato - we sleep in a full/double and have for 10 years. DH has complained for the last few years how small it seems now. I told him the bed hasn't shrunk, we got bigger so time to get exercising. ;) I don't think he found me amusing since he knew it was true.

Recently, I told him when he buys us our bigger house, I'll buy him/us a king bed. Maybe that promise will light a fire under his butt to get things in order to house hunt/move.

  • I feel ya! This was me last night and to add insult to injury, the dog decided to snore too! Surprisingly, the dogs snoring was worse than hubby's! Im exhausted this morning. Hope you got some rest!

  • I hope you got a little sleep! Snoring is the worst and its not like you can use ear plugs when you're trying to listen for baby!

  • Thanks, ladies. I got about 3.5 hours. Definitely feeling it today, but at least I got some consecutive sleep.

@SwetaV - I feel ya on the dog snoring. Mine drives me crazy. And our girl dog will dream and do these little teeny yaps in her sleep. It can be funny, but not when I want to sleep. Hope you got some rest.

@weaslewam - no kidding. And H would never hear her so I can't rely on him.

  • I was exhausted last night and didn't want to deal with DH's snoring so I fibbed and said DS wanted to sleep with mommy because one of the houses scared him when we were trick or treating... Yeah... The trick was on me, DS snored all night too! I just can't win! I however feel your pain.

  • @MrsWilson2013 - I'm sorry! Lol. Totally happens here. My DS likes to sleep in our bed and DH likes to sleep on the couch. Great, except somehow my 4 year old manages to take up the whole bed, ha. And, like your son, he seems to snore on the night I want to sleep most.

  • DH has sleep apnea so he has a CPAP machine to sleep. He doesn't snore when he wears his mask, but when he accidentally forgets to put it on and just falls asleep, HOLY HELL its bad! I wouldn't be able to sleep with him if he didn't use that mask. Hope you ended up getting some sleep!
