Skylar birth story

Well, I was in active labor for approximately 36 hours. My mucus plug fell out ad my water broke, continuing to generously gush the entire 36 hrs. However, during each cervical check I was only dilated to 1 cm!!! Baby girl was NOT budging! Due to risk of infection bc of my water having broke over 24 hours ago, my dr discussed recommending c section as she was not making any progress. We allowed more time to give her a chance to drop and for me to further dilate......of course with no luck. Then lo and behold, my daughter decided to poop in the womb! Now we had a whole other issue that encouraged c section as she wasn't progressing and we didn't want to risk the muconium poisoning her, causing other issues. Off for emergency c section I go! At 04:39 pm, Skylar was born! She is absolutely perfect and loves to snuggle. We ended up with an unplanned c section and a Halloween baby! She made it in October after all. All that matters to me is that my baby girl is healthy and well. I'm one sore, pained, exhausted, but happy momma! A cookie to anyone who read this whole thing.
