Weaning off the pump

Riddle me this. I'm weaning off of my pump. I went from 5 sessions to 4 and dropped the time I pump from 15 minutes to 10... But I'm still getting about 16 ounces. Production has stayed the same. I don't get it.

I will hop over to the BF board as well just curious if anyone else has experienced this.

I plan to drop another session and more time in three days. We will see what that does.

    I ebf with my first two but can't with this one. I've been pumping and supplementing but am weaning myself off the pump because I'm going back to work in a week. I'm down to two times a day. My obgyn said when I want to completely stop then do so. If I get engorged he said to apply ice and wear a constricting bra. Whatever I do, don't pump to relieve the engorgement. I asked about mastitis and he said it shouldn't be a problem. Don't know if I believe him or not, but I'll give it a try. My breasts are ready, though. I can tell they will not get engorged. It's just a matter of me stopping...which I'm having a hard time doing emotionally ugh.
