Speaking of freezing baby food..

I make DD vegetable purees with freshly expressed breastmilk in them and freeze in ice cube trays. I thaw them out one at a time. How long are the frozen purees good for? As long as breastmilk since it's frozen? What are your thoughts?

  • Yes, I would judge it by BM expiration. Why not freeze it without milk and add it after thawing if you need it? She'll probably take her foods at a thicker consistency as she gets older, so you wouldn't need to thin it.

The idea of potentially wasting any BM makes me twitchy. I am barely scraping by with pumping. So sorry if I'm projecting. :)

  • I felt like I had to add it to the peas I made today. They were too chunky! It thinned out nicely after that. I think I only used two ounces.
