Washing Questions

Few questions...1. My machine has 3 settings: cold/cold, warm/cold, hot/cold. I use the cold/cold for rinsing but which should I use for washing warm or hotel. 2. How much detergent should I use? I use Tide powder and am washing 8-10 diapers at a time (pockets) as well as inserts, wipes, and wet bag. 3. My LO is EBF and have just noticed a few diapers that still look dirty after washing...are they really dirty or just stained? TIA!

    1. Wash on hot. You may also want to switch to a warm pre-rinse (instead of cold) if you have difficulty getting your diapers clean. A good routine looks like: Warm or Cold rinse (NO soap), Hot Wash/Cold Rinse (with soap), additional Rinse.

    2. Is your machine a top loader or front loader? That will affect how much detergent you need. Also, that sounds like kind of a small load, so you might want to throw in a towel. The diapers need to rub against something to get really clean.

    3. Stains happen. If the diapers don't smell dirty, I wouldn't stress.

Thank you! It's a top loader.

I'd start with Tide up to Line 1 unless you've got soft water.
