Is it ok if at times, not everyday, if I can only get in a 5 minute pump session? Am I supposed to lengthen the next pump session or what should I do in those cases? I don't have scheduled times since I stay home and LO doesn't have a scheduled day or nap times yet and there are times where LO wakes early for naps or doesn't even go down for a nap so a session may be interrupted. I go every 2-3 hours for 15-20 minutes. THere are times where I am at appointments or somewhere and I go a little longer than 3hrs, but its not a habit.

    I believe they recommend 15-20 min pump sessions. But if you absolutely cant, I believe any time is better than no time...depends on how your supply is. Some people can go longer between pumping once your supply is regulated, others cannot. A lot depends on your situation.
