Just did a ladies lunch with DD at this restaurant near my house. We were waited on by a nice lady but she was dressed as a slutty cow girl. I get it...it's Halloween but I don't need your T&A hanging out while you are serving my food. Sorry i digress. Anyway she was talking to DD...totally fine..but then she starts touching her face and hands which I find a little disconcerting not a germ-a-phobe but I have been a waitress...your hands are not super clean all the time. Then at the end of my lunch she bends over and tries to pick up LO?!?! I awkwardly stop her...and she's all surprised..."what she won't come to me? I need to get some baby snuggles in!" Ummm really....boundaries...

My neighbor always kisses my baby, which I think is gross (she's a smoker) and weird.....I would never kiss a near stranger's baby. LO doesn't like her at all, so I always say he's under the weather if she asks to hold him now. She must think he's sick a lot, but I don't care.

A spin on things: In my culture if you stare at a baby too long you have to touch him/her because if you don't they get "evil eye" true story. Idk why or where this comes from but I do believe $:\$ "> I have just grown up with it my whole life. Stupid superstitions so if someone stares at my daughter too long (happens all the time)I WANT them to touch her. Just a tap on shoulder or head it's a pretty weird believe. But I get where you would not like her holding your baby.

Amazing isn't it? Even before I had B, I would have NEVER gone up to someone's child and touched their face/hands/hair etc.

I cringe every time someone gets too close to my baby. I always have wipes and sanitizer on me. It always seems that the worse people feel it's okay to touch...ugh!

We went out to lunch yesterday, and the bartender went around the corner to smoke a cigarette.Then she came back to the bar without washing her hands (EW!). I was standing in the bar area, waiting for DH to come out of the bathroom, and she came up to us and started grabbing DS's hands! KILLL ME! But I am too polite to say anything, so I just had to scour him after we left. Gross.
