No Spend October...

I know there were a few of you doing this "with me" so how did it go? It's the last day! Yeah!!!

For the most part it went well for us, we did end up purchasing flooring for our lower level and doing some unplanned spending when we had to travel for a funeral. Over all I think it was successful and we plan to do it again in January or February.

We did really well! We ended up eating out a few times because I couldn't get something together for dinner. We also started swim class so dinner time was tricky with that. We were able to save over half of our take home income which baffled me to no end! I'm loving the extra 0's in the savings account! ;P We'll be doing this again after Christmas but we'll also be watching our frivilous spending from now on! Such an eye opener!

I was excited to start because our spending was out of control. I will say it was actually kind of fun making it a game of how much we could save, having a plan etc. I'm on the internet ALL day for work so shopping is so tempting. I felt like I needed this and that. It was like a diet for me, the 1st few days were tough but as it went on it got easier and easier! GL
