I'm updating now with a heavy heart. The beta came in at 150, up from 144. They wanted me to come in and after another ultrasound, not being able to locate anything, methotrexate injection was ordered. I had to come back in two hours as the hospital pharmacy had to order the med. We are now on hold for 3 months due to meds and I am on overload reading all of the issues/side effects I need to look out for. I also turn 40 years old only 13 days after the clear date to proceed with the next cycle. With coverage only til I'm 40, they are trying to figure out to get a cycle in and approved by my birthday. The holidays are going to be so sad this year.
Crying, having to be put in a waiting room in back with my husband who met me there at the office and him having to leave prior to the ultrasound due to a major appt. of his own, it was just surreal. My head, nose, sinuses, and eyes are killing me. Everyone was so nice, getting us tissues, giving us hugs, telling us how sorry they were and all I could do was cry more.
We have bloodwork on Sunday and next Wednesday. If my liver is not processing the meds I may need to deal with an IV med or hydration. Still the possibility of it rupturing is still on the table. They said the HCG level could go up by Sunday, not down. I have a 24 hour number to call if I need help. Just feeling very defeated and shocked.
Our miracle just isn't now.

Unexplained IF. Tried Clomid for 3 cycles. All BFNs. BFP 1/6/13. Chemical pregnancy.
Moving on to IVF#1. ER 11/26/13, 16 eggs retreived, 12 mature and all fertilized. 2 blasts transferred on 12/1. All other embies arrested so nothing left to freeze. Beta 12/10 = BFN. IVF #2 March 2014. BFP!!! TEAM BLUE!!!
I just want to let you know how sorry I am that this is happening to you. I went through it after my first IVF and I know how heartbreaking it is. Your beta level will likely go up at your first blood draw - don't panic about that - it's expected. Be sure to avoid foods with folic acid, which will help the MTX work and your betas drop more quickly. My beta was zero 3 weeks after getting the MTX.
I also just wanted to let you know that my RE allowed me to do an FET after I got my first period after the MTX (the MTX was May 3, and my FET transfer day was June 21). I had read about the 3 month waiting period and so questioned my RE and others in the practice heavily about it because I was concerned about spina bifida in a future pregnancy. They all reassured me that 7 weeks was sufficient time for the MTX to be out of my system and to have a safe pregnancy. Many doctors give the 3 month waiting period, but you may want to ask your RE how necessary he feels it is.
I got pregnant on that FET and am now almost 22 weeks along with no health issues for LO.
Of course, this all depends on how you feel and how ready you are to move forward, but since you sound worried about your timeline, I thought I'd offer my experience.

I'm in a similiar spot, but they believe they've ruled ectopic out, but not 100%. Yesterday we saw my empty sac in the uterus at our first u/s. Trying to cope as best we can, but know exactly how you're feeling. FX we both find peace and success in the future.

March 2014=IVF 5.5-LLP, Lupron 3/10, BL 3/18, 11 days of stims, Trigger 3/29, ER 3/31. 7R, 2M, 2F. ET 4/3. Txfd one 5 cell & one 9 cell. BFP on hpt from 7dp3dt & on. Praise be to God. Beta #1 at 11dp3dt=106, #2 at 13dp3dt=239. First u/s 4/28, measuring on track & heartbeat seen. 5/5-2nd u/s, measuring on track with strong heartbeat. 5/12- 3rd u/s & released from RE. Grow baby grow, we love you! Baby G&T is a BOY! Born 12/2014 via c/s! 8lbs, 8oz & 21 inches.

IVF Bound
