New Pali Crib Smells!

Has anyone else received a Pali crib with a really strong odor? It must be something in the finish but I have had the nursery window open for over a week and wiped it down a few times and it still stinks. I feel like it's not as strong as it was first, but I am just afraid it won't fully go away. Anyone?

Re: New Pali Crib Smells!

  • We just got our Pali Emilia crib and dresser/hutch last Tuesday. It had a strong wood smell the day it was delivered, but it didn't last long at all. We only had the windows cracked a day or two. What finish is it?

  • Hmm ours is mocacchino. I would assume (or hope) that the smell would go away eventually, but you could always call the store where you bought it and ask them. Sorry I wasn't any help. Good luck!
  • The store is basically saying I'm just "sensitive" but other people smell it, too. Lol. We will give it a few more days and see what happens.

  • I agree with LittleApple! Pali is supposed to be a reputable brand, and they say their finishes have less toxins than some other companies. Keep airing everything out, and in a couple weeks I'm sure you won't smell a thing!
