Recommendations for indoor activities

Hi Moms! My son is 7 months old, and my nanny and I are looking for suggestions/recommendations for activities to do with him when we're stuck indoors due to rain and/or cold weather (i.e., when our fall-back of a nice long walk in the stroller isn't the best idea!). He's at the age where he loves to play and be engaged, but he also seems to get bored very quickly so we can go through most of his books, games, and music in a short period of time. I've signed him up for a music class, and am looking into activities at the library (we live in Charlestown), but would appreciate any ideas for things we can do - both inside and outside our home! Thank you!

  • Not hurts ... Lots of sets I mean. The y might also have indoor sports in your area or even a heated pool for swimming.
  • You could do some art activities - finger painting, play-doh

You could also bake cookies together, or even bake some bread, make cupcakes

Go to a local museum, science centre, aquarium, bowling

Take out a bunch of books from the library

Play dress-up and pretend to be the characters you dressed up as
  • Together in Motion is an indoor play facility in Arlington.

They have drop-in play time for kids 0-6. My SS used to love going there in the winter and there are always deals on groupon for super cheap!
