I just had my anatomy scan, and the tech measured the brain, the stomach, and legs and ect. However I remembered some of you mentioned that they are suppost to look at kidneys, and bladder and all that. I don't think my tec checked any of that nor the heart valves. Should I be concerned and call and ask my doctor? He said everything was looking good and fine but it was so fast, like 5 minutes no joke? Any advice will be helpful!
Re: A/S question, left confuced.
My (second) tech pointed out the chambers of the heart, the stomach, the kidneys, the brain, and the vessels in the cord. She also spent a lot of time measuring things, like the length of the legs and the head circumference.
I agree with PP, if you are concerned you need to call your doctor.
like they said, i would call your doc to make sure everything was scanned

Mine lasted a full hour because baby is not a morning person (just like me!), and our tech pointed out everything that she was measuring, and took multiple measurements and images of each - I would be a little worried if I were you, too! As the others have stated, make sure you bring this to your doctor's attention!

Eh, this still doesn't sound right. The tech that I see is excellent and moves quickly through measurements but my A/S still lasted over an hour (two babies). Are you sure that it was only 5 mins? They go through a really long list of measurements, I don't think they could physically move that fast.

I'll like you for always.
As long as I'm living,
my baby you'll be."
As well, position of baby will make a difference.
One U/S of DD took 5-10 minutes, another, 45 minutes.
With DS, both took an hour. The first because my uterus was tipped so far back and (TMI) I had a full colon impeding the view. The second ultrasound I had to roll this way and that. Stand up, sit down because baby was in an awkward position for the tech to measure everything. I almost had to go back again to finish the measurements.
But I've known other women that were in and out in 10-15 minutes.
