Cool mist humidifier

My daughter sleeps in the room with us and has been congested so I've been using a cool midst humidifier across the room from our bed. Is it possible that it could be making the air more dry instead of moist? I've been feeling really dried out in my nose and throat and I'm not sure if that's the cause. Thanks!

Same for me! My nose is so dry! I thought it would help but doesn't seem to be...hmmm
