Back story...
My eleven year old, Bailey, has Aspbergers and has resented the fact that I got pregnant and has not so much as looked at Jax since he was born five weeks ago. She hates change and this one has been just too much for her to handle. Her therapist has also said she might not ever come around. She might learn to accept him, but never really bond with him ugh. I've been giving her space and not forcing the baby on her at all. I've also been trying my hardest to keep the schedule/routine we had before the baby was born.
Fast forward to this morning...
Bailey wanted pancakes and I said she had to hold the baby because he was fussing in order for me to be able make them. She agreed and held him for ten whole minutes lol! When I took him back he looked at her and smiled. Guess what? She smiled back! I almost shit myself! Then she proceeded to ask about Jackson's cleft palate and how it will affect his speech. Holy crap! She held him, acknowledged his existence and smiled at him all in the same day! It's a miracle!!! Just had to share my happiness!

My cousin is autistic (18yro). He is very loving, but very violent at the same time. When he met my daughter, he LOVED her and wanted to give her hugs and kisses. It warmed my heart.
Glad you had a great day, and I hope it continues!
