Re: ***Wednesday Ticker Change***

  • 1. Week: 35 Weeks!!!

    2. Fruit/Veggie: Coconut? Honeydew Melon? Lord only knows!

    3. Team and Name: Pink - Rosaleigh

    4. How are you feeling?: I have officially hit the wall. I am uncomfortable, anxious, bitchy, moody. I am sick of throwing up and having contractions that lead to nothing.  This lady is done. I lost part of my mucus plug last night and all I could think was, "This is some cruel joke.  I am going to be pregnant forever and you are just teasing me!!!"

    5. Any appointments or updates?: Not this week.  All my tests last week came back awesome so I get this week off before going weekly next Wednesday.

***GTKY*** What has been the most surprising thing to you about this pregnancy? How laid back I have been.  I was a nervous wreck with Kat (DD1) and was so on edge the entire time.  I feel like a completely different person this time around.

    My girls: August 14, 2011 and December 5, 2013

  • 1. Week: 33

    2. Fruit/Veggie: Durian Fruit.  It seems like a really obscure/strange way for TB to describe a baby's size.

    3. Team and Name: Green - Names are top secret!

    4. How are you feeling?: I have been so happy and easygoing this entire pregnancy, until now.  I am just downright bitchy most days, and it's probably because I haven't had a good night's sleep in weeks.  I am grateful though that I still have a lot of energy in the mornings, and don't have a lot of physical complaints (no back pain, no headaches, etc.)  I'll take the fatigue and moodiness over back pain any day.

    5. Any appointments or updates?: Nothing this week.  Next week I have my standard 34 week appointment.

***GTKY*** What has been the most surprising thing to you about this pregnancy? How fast it went!  The first three months felt like they were taking forever, and then the third trimester smacked me in the face.  How did that happen so fast?!

    2. Fruit/Veggie: Durian... wth is a Durian?

    3. Team and Name: Blue and we are keeping it a secret till he arrives.

    4. How are you feeling?: T I R E D. I just want to sleep for days. I'm literally falling asleep at my desk. Heartburn is a cruel biatch and I want a donut for National Donut Day.

    5. Any appointments or updates?: No appt's this week. I have one next Friday.

***GTKY*** What has been the most surprising thing to you about this pregnancy? How fast it has flown by. It seems like I just got BFP. I am so unprepared for this baby, I need to start doing stuff on Sunday's on my day's off or I will NEVER be ready.

  • 1. Week: 32

    2. Fruit/Veggie: squash

    3. Team and Name: Pink.....Shelby

    4. How are you feeling?:  eeh.   I've been having lots of BH as well as some uncomfortable/painful contractions over the past few weeks.  I've been trying to take it easy but I've been so busy.  A few times I thought I'd have to go to L&D because they were every 5-6min, but once I laid down on the couch and drank a bunch of water they slowed down.  I had PTL with my son, so I'm a little nervous.  Heartburn still sucks, and I've been having to go to the bathroom all the time lately...wondering if she dropped or something.  Pelvis is still hurting also.  I don't remember feeling this bad with DS, but I was on bedrest at this point with him, so maybe that's why.

    5. Any appointments or updates?:  GD diet has been going well, but now they are concerned about the baby's growth.  My fundal height did not change in 3 weeks, and I didn't gain any weight.  So I am going for a growth scan tomorrow morning.  Hopefully everything is fine!

***GTKY*** What has been the most surprising thing to you about this pregnancy?  I was really hoping that I would get a "normal" pregnancy this time and here I am dealing with an entire different situation than with DS, but still considered high risk!  Also, it's just so different when you already have a LO at home.  I almost feel more excited to see DS meet his sister than for me to meet her.  I know that will change when she comes out, but I am just so excited to see what their relationship will be like.

    2. Fruit/Veggie: Honeydew? Who knows.

    3. Team and Name: Pink! Not sharing name yet, a lot of our family and friends don't even know. :)

    4. How are you feeling?: Like time is standing still :/

    5. Any appointments or updates?: Had a (good) growth scan yesterday (LO is officially head down); next OB appt is Tuesday.

***GTKY*** What has been the most surprising thing to you about this pregnancy?

Not really surprising, but I guess I didn't truly realize how tiring it would be to go through this with a toddler to care for. Brutal!

  • This is the weekly update for ladies whose tickers change on WEDNESDAY.  If that is you, please post below!

    1. Week:  35

    2. Fruit/Veggie: IDK...too lazy to check

    3. Team and Name: Pink...Sophia, but still looking for a middle name

    4. How are you feeling?: Crappy...I am tired, cannot sleep,
BH and regular contractions and they are annoying and painful.  I never know when I am hungry or full.  I am always timing contractions, my skin hurts, my feet hurt, and I am just plain tired!  So done at this point and just cannot wait to meet my little girl

    5. Any appointments or updates?: Had my appt yesterday for this week and found out baby will be delivered early because of all the contractions I have despite the procardia...yikes!  I only have to take my procardia one more week then I will probably go into labor any day after that.  I have one more ultrasound next on Wednesday to check growth. Both DH and I are freaking out because we were expecting a full term baby, not a 5ish pound baby.  We will need tinier clothes to bring her home in!

***GTKY*** What has been the most surprising thing to you about this pregnancy? How hard and difficult this has been compared to my first pregnancy.  Also, the fact that I went into PTL at 27 weeks and was placed on bedrest at that point.  I didn't realize what a big deal it really is to be pregnant until now, even though it is my 2nd baby.  It's still a shocker how much I love this LO already, just as much as I love my DD!

  • 1. Week: 34

    2. Fruit/Veggie: Honeydew I think? Still. Whatever.

    3. Team and Name: Blue. Names still TBD.

    4. How are you feeling?: Meh. Generally over it. I know I'm pretty lucky and have not had a terrible time but I'm also a FTM and am surprised every day by how much of being pregnant sucks that nobody tells you about! Hearburn, constipation, head cold that I can't really take anything for, pelvic pain, peeing every 5 minutes, exhaustion, can't sleep. At least I haven't had any BH or real contractions yet I guess.

    5. Any appointments or updates?:34 week appt is tomorrow.

***GTKY*** What has been the most surprising thing to you about this pregnancy? It seemed to go on forever, and then I blinked and we're only six weeks (or less!) away from meeting LO. I feel like I have a gazillion things on my to-do list to get ready and there's no way we'll be ready in time (just like Jessie Spano - remember her "there's no time! there's never enough time!" breakdown on Saved By the Bell? Lol.)

  • 1. Week: 34 Weeks

    2. Fruit/Veggie: Butternut Squash

    3. Team and Name: Team Blue / Still haven't decided

    4. How are you feeling?: Tired but energy levels are good. Heartburn is still consistent everyday, but thankfully a Zantac helps. I wish I could find a comfortable sleeping position for the entire night...

    5. Any appointments or updates?: Next appointment on Friday

***GTKY*** What has been the most surprising thing to you about this pregnancy?

How fast the time has flown by and how even though I was really sick until 22-24 weeks, now that I am feeling better and I am growing a bond with the baby, I am already starting to "forget" about how miserable I was.

Great Support, Great Conversations, and more than just Cloth Diapering at our new home

  • 1. Week: 34

    2. Fruit/Veggie: Butternut Squash

    3. Team and Name: Pink/Super top secret ;)

    4. How are you feeling?:  Tired, anxious, sore, excited...

    5. Any appointments or updates?:  Weekly P17 Injection today; only 2 more to go!  Had a +1 protein in my urine last week but my BP was okay (108/79).  Not pregnant, my BP is always lower than this, though.  Today BP was 129/80.  HR was 108.  Nurse seemed more concerned about the HR than the BP; said to mention it to my doctor at my prenatal appointment.  But that's not until next week!

***GTKY*** What has been the most surprising thing to you about this pregnancy? Being put on bed rest.  I wasn't expecting this.  I delivered DD 5 weeks + 1 day early due to unknown reasons.  I was started on the P17 at 16 weeks this pregnancy so bed rest starting at 28 weeks was a surprise to me.  I really thought I'd have an uneventful 9 months.
