Many T&Ps that Baby Boots will stay safely on the inside for another month or so.

If there comes a point where the docs decide LO is better off on the outside than inside, know that 32+ weekers often do really well...especially if you get steroids for their lungs.  I know it isn't the start you want for your LO, but sometimes these little buggers come on their own timeline.

Big hugs for the scary news.  I'm glad the docs are following you and LO closely.

ETA: I just was looking at your ticker and noticed in your sig that today is the EDD of your second loss.  Extra hugs to you!

  • Oh no Amy! I'm so sorry. You are so close. Hang in there. I have several friends who had the low fluid and they were able keep baby cooking longer. They drank tons of water.

All the checking will be a pain but they are doing what they need to so Baby boots does the best he can.

I'm sorry you are going through this. It sucks. Sending you a big hug.
Thank you! I like hearing stories like that. I'm chugging water like crazy as I write this. I might float away, but it's a small price to pay if it helps.

Be very cautious. If you have a doppler check out the baby heart few times a day. Also, if you be able to seek a second opinion will be great. To deliver the baby sooner might be the better option.
It may come down to having him earlier, yes. I'm seeing a high risk OB so I'm hoping they are just being extra cautious. All I can do is follow their advice.

  • So sorry you're going through this!  Sending lots of positive thoughts for you and baby boots.  Glad you're getting close monitoring even though it is a pain in the butt, though sorry it's stealing away your feeling of having a "normal" pregnancy experience (what is normal, anyway?).  I hope your doctors keep a good solid balance in mind between maximizing baby Boots' gestation time and minimizing threats to your health.  He'll need a strong healthy mama, and it'd be so natural for you to over-sacrifice yourself to give him more baking time it's important to have a doc. who will be really straightforward with you if it comes to the point that it really is better to deliver him this early.  FX that your hydration regimen and any other interventions there may be help so he can go to full-term or close to it, but ... there are lots of really totally OK people out there who were born preemie.  Especially when they've got parents who will give them a great developmental environment (as all babies/kiddos need) in their first few years, as you surely will!  hugs!
