CD class funnies

Woo sorry I've been MIA I just had a crazy midterm week. It is over now so I should be back around again.
So DH and I went to a CDing class the other weekend. Firstly I would strongly recommend doing it if you are interested in cding it was awesome! DH got on board right away so that was it, we are committing to CD!
Anyway when I stepped into the bathroom they had this hanging on the wall, it made me giggle.

Re: CD class funnies

  • If you cannot read it it says "Hey girl,
Thanks for opening my eyes to the world of cloth diapers. Have you seen my wet bag?"

  • Haha too funny! Glad you found the class informative. We're considering CDing this one (should this be our next take-home-baby) but are definately still on the fence about it. I'll have to see if there are any CD classes around us. May I ask how you found out about it? Thanks!

@lisagde I actually found a CDing store near me and they offered the classes. Totally worth it!

Eta the class was abot 1.5 hours and cost 10$ for two people.

  • I am very interested in Cloth Diaper's for this baby. I am going to try to find a class.

  • That picture is enough to convince me to CD. I also recommend a class. I was clueless before but after the class I felt very informed. It was a great resource.

  • Cloth diapering is great - you won't regret taking the plunge! We've used cloth with my dd since she was 4 weeks old. :)

  • We never took a class, but I've been CDing DD since she was 3-4 days old, and exclusively CDing since she was a few weeks old (in the early weeks I focused more on getting BF working so we used some sposies in between laundry).

My absolute favorite diapers are Kawaii HD2 square tab velcro.  They don't sell them in many stores, so you have to order online, but they are very affordable pockets that have held up well and are a much better velcro option than bumgenius (their velcro does not hold up).  The pure&naturals are the same thing but sized for newborns -- that's my plan with #2 until he/she fits into one size diapers.
Are they a Japanese based company?

  • We really did not like kawaii. From my experience, what works for one mom and baby isn't necessarily going to work for another. I would recommend buying several different brands/types and trying them out to see what you like before investing in a large stash all of one thing. I started with all gDiapers and loved them (which a lot of people hate) until my dd was 10 months or so. Then we started branching out into pockets, fitteds & covers, and aio (all in ones). My current favorites are sustainablebabyish fitteds with thirstiest covers for overnight, bumgenius free times (aio), and swaddlebees aio. I tried prefolds and they just aren't for us, with a toddler I prefer something quick and easy like a aio or pocket. Anyway - there are so many different types and brands it can take some experimentation to figure out what will work for you!
