"How to narrow names down?" was my previous post & I will take posters suggestions on looking up name meanings, but in the mean time - here is 1/4 of my girls names list for you to have at it ...

Forgot to mention - most likely will be a double MN, Judith will be incorporated after my Godmother, we both like that idea, unless of course I like a name enough to not need a second one ... have fun !

  • Wow!   OK  I love Lydia, Esme, Emmeline and Carolina.   Of your GP names I really like both Sailor and Winter but would personally only use in mn spot.   I do love that Madelyn is your grandmothers name and am a sucker for honoring the g'mas!
  • Loading the player...
  • I'm on a tablet, so I'll just mention the names I like: Lydia, Esme, Juliana, Agnes, Edith, Grace, Winter and Madelyn. Adalee I'd ditch, it's a spelling nightmare. I do like Ada though!

Kennedy -knew a Kennedy, she was cool
    Gracie -cute
    Lyra -LOVE
  • Lydia - recently I've really started liking this name.

    Giovanna - LOVE it.

Julianna - I prefer Juliana, but overall like it

Gracie - I like it only as a nn for Grace, don't like it as a full name.

Madelyn - Grandmothers name - Maybe as a mn.  I don't like this spelling, but totally get it if it's a family name.

Lorraine - LOVE.  But, weirdly enough, I like it more as a mn than a fn.

  • Lydia- Keep
    Esme- Toss
    Adalee- Toss
Giovanna- I think this one is best pulled off with an Italian LN
Eleni- I think this can only be pulled off with a Greek last name. It's super popular in my city's Greek community
Sailor - GP- Keep it that way
    Julianna- Toss
    Teagan- Toss
    Elianna- Toss
    Natalia- Love this one
Taylin - GP- Keep it there
Anahi - Edit: SO fav - Uh-Nah-Hee- I foresee a life of spelling/pronunciation issues. If SO loooves it, maybe make it the second middle name?
    Emmeline- Keep
    Agnes- Toss
    Daniella- Toss
    Carolina- Toss
    Edith- Toss
    Kennedy- Toss
    Alessa- Toss
    Gracie- Toss
    Lyra- Toss
    Alessia- Love this
    Madelina- Toss
    Winter - GP
Zoe- Toss- it would almost always be pronounced Zo-ee, so if you want Zo (I think Rachel Zoe pronounces it that way?) you would be constantly correcting.
    Madelyn - Grandmothers name- Keep
Lorraine- Toss. Although like a PP, I really like this one as a middle name. I think it flows nicely with lots of names.

My keepers from your list would be Lydia, Natalia, Emmeline, Alessia, and Madelyn in honour of your grandmother. I like Juliana, Daniela, and Eliana as well, but not with the double N's.

  • Lots of great names on this list!  I really like Lydia, Carolina, Daniella, Lyra, and Lorraine.  Several names on the list are beautiful, but not my style.  Names I'm not feeling are Eleni, Taylin, or Anahi.

Edith is beautiful and was my grandmother's name - glad to see it is reemerging.  Esme is a favorite of mine, but DH vetoed it.

    I absolutely adore Emmeline - go figure : )

  • My faves are: Julianna (although not crazy about Julianna Judith), Teagan, and Emmeline.

I also like Grace but not Gracie.  If you go that route, I would name her Grace, which can be a mature name, and call her Gracie as a nn.

Wow your list is everywhere some of every style. Here are the one's I really like in order:
    1) Madelyn (I prefer Madeline even with pronouncing Mad-e-lynn, but if it's family name I do like to keep family spelling)
    2) Gracie (prefer Grace with nn Gracie)
    3) Lorraine
    4) Julianna
    5) Zoe

Edith, Teagan, & Esme aren't bad either. The rest I'd ditch.
