I have never posted before but am so down right now that possibly someone is going through the same thing. I have been diagnosed with PCOS and went to a fertility doctor who did a HSG and found I had scar tissue in my uterus (not sure where it came from since I have never been pregnant, had a miscarriage or any surgeries). I had a hysteroscopy to remove the scar tissue and then put on estrogen. The doctor went in a few weeks later to check and found more scar tissue and removed it again and put me on more estrogen. Now I have had 2 ultrasounds and my lining is still not think (the doc told me he need to get it to at least 7 mm in order to proceed with fertility treatments because an embryo will prob not implant otherwise).
Now he is going to do another hysteroscopy and this time implant a balloon for a few days to prohibit the scar tissue from growing back. He does not want to have to do this, but there are no other options now since my body is not reacting to the estrogen/hormones.
My question is - has anyone had this done and been successful in pregnancy afterward? I am super nervous about the procedure because my doc does not know how my body will respond - could be super painful and he will have to take the balloon right out.
And he cannot answer the question on whether it will work. But if someone has some success stories now, please let me know! I need some positive encouragement at this time!
THANK YOU
