HSG question.

Hi ladies,
I've been lurking the past month as I have had some issues the past year. I started seeing a fertility doctor last month, we have already found one issue but might have another.

I went for my hsg today and after multiple tries they were unable to get the catheter in my uterus. Has this happened to anyone else and what was the issue?

I'm concerned since we will definately need ivf.

    My Dr had to dilate my cervix a bit to get it in, I'm not sure why your Dr didn't do the same thing? It just so happens that you do this procedure during a time in your cycle when your cervix is naturally very firm and closed, so it's not uncommon to have issues inserting a catheter. 

    Please share your story with the board. Why do you definitely need IVF?

    I'll add my intro in the morning. So far they have found I have a balanced reciprocal translocation chromosome. I have recurrent miscarriages.

    No they Did not try to dilate me.
