I think one thing I've struggled with since becoming a mom is finding something POSITIVE to say about myself since being mom. I am the first to admit my downfalls: I lose my patience, I wonder if I'm good enough, I get stressed too easily, I accidentally pulled her skin off of her nail, I let her cry for too long, I feel like I'm doing it all wrong,
I've never took the time to stop and look at what I'm doing right.
This video (<- clicky) put a lot into perspective for me. I know our LO's can't speak, but it made me feel a lot better about myself and to actually stop and think about what I'm doing right for her. I think as moms we are all too hard on ourselves, and we need to give ourselves a break. We aren't perfect, all we can do is do the best we can. Our kids don't see our "downfalls" like we see them. To them, it just matters that they are loved.
I just wanted to share this because I don't think I'm the only mom in the world who just focuses on my negatives instead of the positives, too.

That was beautiful. I definitely feel like a failure most days. But it's nice to know that chances are, you're your kids' hero.
You're absolutely right. I think I spend far too much time, not just as a mom, but as a wife, daughter, and friend worried that I can do more. I need to remind myself that I am enough

or you're all the way grown,
my promise to you
is you're never alone.
You are my angel, my darling,
my star...and my love will find you,
wherever you are."
