Constipation help!

Not me for LO. I have been away for a while. After Liam arrived it was pretty overwhelming adjusting to life and now that I am 3 weeks back to work I find myself having more me time now that we have our routine down so I thought I could get some help this morning about any remedies that you ladies have found to work for constipation and tummy issues with your LO. The last day he has been screeching which I have never heard him do and scrunching his legs up and fussing a lot! A little bit of poo here and there and then a giant diaper full. Lots of gas also. So maybe not constipation but could be just tummy aches. I just feel so bad for him when he is screeching and squirming in pain :-( have you ladies found any way to help ease their pain??

We've used a half-dose of the pediatric glycerin suppositories, which were recommended by a pediatrician. We wait as long as possible to let him work things out on his own, but when he's crying and in pain, it works wonders and he feels so much relief after. It's basically just a lubricant to help move things along.

PROBIOTICS!!! We had the same problem with little one. Horrible, would go on all day fussing, gas and crying. Doctor recommended probiotics the ones from Walgreens. They're over the counter. Ask for them at the pharmacy. They're refrigerated and come in a little box with 12 packs. The probiotics have saved my sanity and my daughter is our perfect baby again. We finally got her on a formula that's good too-Similac Comfort. The whey is broken down for easier digestion and less gas. Hope this helps you

Thanks ladies! Tried the massaging and he was totally giggling so must be doing a little better. Heading out for probiotics now!!

Warm baths relax the anal sphincter and helps relax the tummy. Before changing I always lift his legs (toes to wards the nose and bottom in the air) to help him pass gas. When he's on his stomach he seems to burp ansnfart more so I try and place him lying accross my thighs with head down help him burp.
